It's most insipid.

You can get tartex in the UK - but its in tubes not tins. They're in most health food / vegan shops near me.Romanuan vegetarian pate this comes in various flavours and costs 60-70 pence a tin and has been a welcome addition to my lunch box several times in the last fortnight
A German friend used to bring me tins of something similar called Tartex which I've rarely been able to fibd in the UK.
Butter.Tonight I'm cooking a spaghetti squash. They are so called because, when roasted, the flesh comes out in spaghetti-like strands. I am roasting it now and just deciding what to have it with.
following a thread in here about monkfish and worms I've not been able to eat it sinceAbout monkfish - have you considered hake instead? (might be even more expensive, idk)
Warning: do not read if squeamish
Monkfish used to be despised by fishmongers as a 'nasty, dirty' fish as it's a bottom feeder and often infested with visible parasites, worms and suchlike. Sorry. I agree it's delicious but its rebranding by restaurants, supermarkets and fishmongers as an 'elite' product is a hilarious/tragic bit of profiteering after overfishing made many other firm-fleshed white fish unviable.
And the juice of green , unripe papaya brings down malaria fever (according to an Indonesian I met who got malaria every year) .If you've got any intestinal worms you will be expelling them shortly so keep an eye on your poo.
Papaya seeds = bush medicine for worms
I don't think those constitute the natural diet of badgers
Where do you get these things from?Romanian braided, smoked cheese.
Not bad, but wouldn't buy again. Texture is good, but the rind isn't so nice. Maybe you're not meant to eat it?
Latvian smoked cheese (hunter's cheese, apparently). Fucking delicious! It's quite mature/hard for a smoked cheese and it has spices on the outside. Love it.
Various wild mushrooms in jars with spices from Lithuania. Bit weird, but not too bad. Wouldn't buy again. Not sure how to eat them so I just dived into the jar with a fork.
There's a 'European foods' shop on Roundhay Road in Harehills. Not sure of the name but it's opposite Roundhay Supermarket.Where do you get these things from?
Any Chinese supermarket will have it.I'd really like to try Kimchi if I could.source it at a reasonable cost.
Sigh....
