What are you having for breakfast?

Today I fried bacon, about 1/4 of an onion, finely chopped, tomato, egg, and near the end threw in some baked beans, spinach and 1 finely chopped garlic clove. A soft tortilla on the side. I have a variation of this fairly regularly.

I thought about posting it on the FEB thread to wind people up. :D

You would've been hounded off the entire internet with pitchforks and flaming torches :D

I got some eggs from a different person this week and their hens make really dark yolks, so I'm having bright orange scrambled eggs on brown seedy sourdough.

A tangy crumbly Lancashire goes best with Eccles cake, or maybe a crumbly Cheshire. The tanginess offsets the super-sweetness of the dried fruit inside.
I suppose you could make a butty - a smashed up Eccles cake along with Lancashire or Cheshire cheese. Wonder if it'd be appropriate to butter the bread first - along with what type of bread you'd use. Seems to me it should be something seedy and wholemeal to give the meal some substance.

Then it's on to the more difficult question of extras - lettuce, onion and tomato perhaps? Definitely no muck like mayo or salad cream, but HP or pickled onion might work quite well with it to cut through the richness.
