What are you having for breakfast?

See - I always knew I was right in my choices for breakfast.

Have dinner for breakfast

Many people don’t get enough protein in the morning, which affects their energy for exercising, as well as their food choices throughout the day. The more tired you feel, the more likely you are to reach for that chocolate bar for an instant hit. Try having roast chicken, potatoes and spinach for breakfast, or fresh salmon, eggs and green vegetables. It will set you up better for the day.

My now standard teeny slice of flatbread with yeast extract and peanut butter.

My microwave having blown up, I warm that confection in the toaster in a foil packet.
The peanut butter is in particular need of warming as it's not only the cold making it impossible to spread, but also because it hangs around at least 4 times as long in the tub ...

I've adapted well to the small portion - though I'm tending to compensate later in the day with a lunch of jarred salad, ground flaxseed and tahini which I think is probably a good thing.
The jumbo oat porridge with banana following dinner was already a fairly-well established habit ..

It will take a week or two to know if It's done the trick in terms of weight loss, but health-wise I think it's going to be the norm from now on.

I hope you have a contingency plan for when the foil zaps the toaster!

I think the grill on my combi oven has packed up, but that's not a disaster in the grand scheme of things, though I may need to check to see if that means the oven bit doesn't work, either :hmm:

I'm being careful :)
The biggest annoyance - as with when the microwave failed is it trips the breaker and I lose my internet connection for several minutes :p

I highly recommend getting some toaster bags - a lot safer than using foil, and probably cheaper in the long run as they are reusable and foil ain't cheap itself these days
You can cook all sorts of stuff in the toaster using them.

Thinking about it, I have some flexibile cooking sheets I bought for another purpose...

I have been having Alpen Original for breakfast with milk.

It is a bit of a copout because I think the original has some added sugar and I am trying to reduce my sugar intake.

I can't have toast at the moment because I took the plug off the toaster for some reason and now I can't remember where I put it! :(

Might have a boiled egg in the morning, nice low maintenance breakfast item.
But obv no soldiers because of the plug!

:)
