Four huge rolls and a one large loaf, using a slowrising half and half dough, plus sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, assorted olives, saffron, and herbes de provence. The tin for the rolls was oiled with truffle oil, which might or might not add to the flavour.
To be started on for tea tomorrow, between ATOS and yet another meeting.
Thanks.Good luck for tomorrow x
I made these yesterday for the little 'un to decorate http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2798/sparkling-vanilla-christmas-cookies
The dough doesn't roll out well at all and I ended up adding a bit of milk just to make it a bit more pliable, but they've come out OK.
If there already is one of these then delete please.
Last night I made Nigel Salter Black Banana Loaf
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/black_banana_cake_52982
I left out the nuts and instead of choc chips put in bashed chunks of green&blacks 80% cocoa.
It's yummy, sweet and a hint of bitter.
Have some in my bag for people at work
Did this today.Oh my god!
Thank you DrRingDing for liking the OP of this thread.
I had no idea that I had put that particular recipe link in it and have been searching for it (with no idea who it was by or anything) for days
What good timing!!
I reckon there's one too many bananas in that recipe. The first time I made it, I only had two bananas and it was delicious. The second time I followed the recipe and it was a bit soggy. Still good though.Did this today.
Gave my mum half of it to take home.
I have no idea what it's actually like.
Seems overly soft but I think that's the banana rather than being undercooked.
It was in the oven for longer than the recipe said.
It only says two doesn't it?I reckon there's one too many bananas in that recipe. The first time I made it, I only had two bananas and it was delicious. The second time I followed the recipe and it was a bit soggy. Still good though.
Maybe I misread second time round. It only says two doesn't it?
I only used two.
Had some this morning. Totally delicious.

Split? You making it on the hob?Sorry, that picture is huge and blurry! Creme brûlée done, it started to split but I think I rescued it. Eek!
Yeah, is that a mistake? [emoji53] I used a Nigella recipe I think I've used before.Split? You making it on the hob?

Actually that rings a bell so must be what I did last time. It's been so long I'd forgotten.Dunno if it's a mistake, but afaik it's supposed to be a set baked custard so you usually make it by putting a bain marie in your oven... It's possible that Nigella's decided that the hob is a good shortcut. It's pretty easy to over/undercook in the oven too so I can see why the hob might be a good idea
Must have taken a good long while on the hob!Actually that rings a bell so must be what I did last time. It's been so long I'd forgotten.

Sure it'll be fineNot really, 10-15 minutes. Hope it works!
