What are you baking?

Apples, bramley, cooking for the use of.
I've got a bit of a glut (but just windfalls atm)

... into pies, crumbles (with and without other fruit) and a lot of puree for freezing.
[juicing hasn't worked and I don't have a press, so don't suggest cider]

Yeah, don’t post up recipes for “scones” using lard. They’re scones like pizzas using cauliflower instead of a pizza base are pizzas.

no it isn't - it's just fat. they will look like scones and taste like scones. The recipe is from a National Trust book ffs!

If there are scones out there with stealth lard in them, I'm going to suddenly become a lot more cautious about casual scone-eating. It's something I've never heard of, and I am repulsed by the idea!

Chutney! Cake. Christmas pudding. Mincemeat. Flavoured booze. I've a recipe for apple and lemon curd somewhere too that looks nice but I've never made.

Chutney might be a goer, if I can get OH to be out for the time it needs - there's an intense dislike for that sort of cooking ...
Apple cakes - will look that up.
Possible I might end up with apple n ginger jam.

I've been making lots of curries recently, so I thought I'd try making naan bread, seeing as the supermarket ones are so disappointing. They turned out well, not as good as the pillowy deliciousness I get from my local curry house, but they have a special oven

Gonna try some ready made gluten free puff pastry - I'd normally make my pastry with spelt (it's wheat gluten that I'm intolerant to - spelt gluten is ok) but making it from scratch takes too long for me to do atm. I'm not expecting much. I'm making my usual sausage rolls, I use Iceland frozen vegan sausages, because they don't have wheat in and they make awesome sausage rolls, they have lots of beetroot in them. I usually smear something on the inside of the pastry - either mango chutney or caramelised onion chutney, then put sesame and poppy seeds on the outside.

I was gonna do this last weekend but then I realised I didn't have time for it to prove. I learnt some curry skills from a friend who used to work in a curry house. I've watched him make chapatis, he boshes a few out whilst making a keema 'oh that'll be easy' I thought, but mine were absolutely shit, worst kitchen disaster I've ever had.

I'm gearing up to make a pumpkin (crown prince squash) and almond pie.

I've roasted the pumpkin with crushed nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar.

For the pumpkin custard filling it will include eggs and condensed milk and ground almonds and a touch of ammeretto. Im very loosely following a recipe.....
