What animals/wildlife have you seen today?

Some kind of little lizard spotted on my decking today. Total surprise as I didn’t know they existed here, although I suppose they have always been around and are just good at hiding. Not great photo quality, soz..

ETA. Anyone know their amphibians and could tell me what the proper name of the little one is? Was about 10cm long.

What part of the world you in? I'll have an answer in about an hour, I'm going to a reptile shop.

Not sure if attached video is gonna work or will be too big, but we had a damn moose in the back garden last Nov! That’s a first, although we often see deer here through the winter.

This moose got picked up on outside network camera before ambling past the side of the house, activating the PIR lamp (which is how I saw it). By the time I got out the front door to take a look, it had climbed over our front hedge, and begun to trot down the street sounding like a horse both in clattering hoof steps and the loud panting breaths it was taking. Last seen running back up into the woods behind us…

Oh that's really cute!

Just a heads up though, lizards are reptiles, not amphibians :D

Haha, yeah - was dumb of me. I realised that sometime after posting  I think i had newts on my mind when posting tbh,
Newts are cute too :D
We don't seem to get newts round here in my part of London, I used to love watching them as a kid. Great crested newt, and there's another one that lives here too.
No lizards round here either unless tonysingh decides to come up to London and release his menagerie for a surprise reptile army invasion of London :D
There are lizards in other parts of the UK but I don't think they like the city very much.
