Here's the American version; I see this birds every day. I love them!
Coyote in the back yard. The neighbor's cat wisely made a runner for the house. I ran interference until she was safely inside.
I know! And yet they were snoozing away quite happily. That does not look comfy!
I've never seen a seal that I can remember. I've always wanted to see one in the Thames. Maybe I'll have to make it a mission some time.

Never had that, but I remember once a Mallard Duck flew along in front of my dad's car for a bit, it kept looking round at us and to say it had a slightly alarmed expression on its face was an understatement.A buzzard did that great thing where they fly along in front of you as you're driving. Followed him down Tregonning Hill for a few seconds before he veered off into the woods. I was doing about 35 mph and he could've happily outrun me.
I've sat upstairs in the Captain Kidd in Wapping and seen a seal a couple of times. There are seals living further up the river from there. It's old info though - but sitting in a riverside pub looking for seals is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.I've never seen a seal that I can remember. When you say further up, do you mean upstream?I've sat upstairs in the Captain Kidd in Wapping and seen a seal a couple of times. There are seals living further up the river from there. Further towards the sea, I guess that's downstream not upstream is it Although seals have been spotted far further up the river too. I think there's a seal colony further downstream..When you say further up, do you mean upstream?
I would probably be inclined to go for the Mayflower as it's on my side...
