Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but if not I thought some on here may find it interesting.
Briefly, a petition was organized in 1923 for a petition from the women of Wales (and Welsh women elsewhere) to the USA, asking them to join the League of Nations. Nearly 400,000 women signed it, from all over the country and in the Welsh communities outside Wales. The petition came back to Wales (permanently) earlier this year, and it is in the process of being scanned and digitized. Some of this has been done already, so for those who are interested they can try and find relatives and locations at the link below:
