Uruguay vs England (Group D) Thursday 19th June 2014

We do not deserve to be in this competition.

We lost the last game due to lackluster efforts. Tonight we playing like a bunch of schoolboys.

Roy Hodgson looks like a weak leader......and Gerrard has been saying the wrong things in the media.

But for that last bit I'd think you were talking about Spain.

Re the goal there were 3 defenders on the guy who put the cross in, all of them stood and waited to see what would happen - if its one on one fair enough, but at least one of them shouldve shut him down

We still have a goal threat.

Just need to use the pace we have better. Not seen anyone hold a candle to our pace.

Are there many Uruguayans on this thread? There seem to be a few Uruguay supporters or have they just placed bets on Uruguay?

I think it was 6 against 3, but Gerrard and Henderson plodded back and did nothing to win the ball off the guy who got it in midfield. Should never have made it out to Cavani.

Lacking confidence. Which the manager and captain should be instilling.
I think it's the opposite.

We need to remove any confidence from the players, and therefore expectation and pressure.

It's no coincidence that we played better than we have for years when no one expected a thing against Italy.

Then suddenly our hopes are raised, the pressure builds and we're back to same ole England.

Did you watch their match against costa rica? Uruguay were terrible.

And yes england have lots of pace in attack - stirling, sturridge, wellbeck - plus oxlade chamberlin and ross barkley. All quick and skillfull. Uruguay - other than Saurez - are lacking both.

Do you actually follow football? or have you just wandered onto this thread to parade your ignorance?

Oh, no. I do follow football you fuckwit. Suarez is killing England, as predicted.
