If it is just World Cup matches, I presume that will include qualifiers, otherwise that's pretty much his World Cup career done, isn't it? Unless Uruguay suddenly do very well.

e2a: does "all football-related activity" include training? I presume he can work on fitness, but can he not touch a ball* for those four months? That could scupper his transfer potential (although I'm sure it could be circumvented).

That link was to the live FIFA news conference, it is finished now but I am pretty sure he is out for the world cup, 9 games and four months ... well perhaps it is less clear .. hmm
