The Hayter album is great. I was far from blown away by the Mitski. I kinda think I should have an opinion - being a generally opinionated git - but they're my nieces favourite, so I also don't want to think that she has lousy taste.
Ah, Mitski's another one I didn't even realise had a new album out. Maybe 2024 will finally be the year I get around to having an opinion about Mitski. Also, thinking about it that Rev Hayter album seems to have not made much of an impact?
I had been meaning to use that period of time off at the end of the year to get around to things I've been meaning to do for ages, might as well add "form an opinion about Mitski" to the list.
Finally listened to the Lankum album. It's not cheerful is it. Lucky I only had it in my headphones, if I'd played it on speakers I reckon birds would've started dropping dead and falling from the sky.

Came across this last night and played it several times today. Melody, reverb guitar, glorious vocals, bit grungy but almost ambient in a weird way . Its a cracker
Didn’t vote. Not going to put my list up. Too many good lists on here already. But one I am surprised that slipped through is CASisDEAD -Famous Last Words. Atmospheric Grime ish.
This passed me by at the time but I've since listened and really like it - as you say, nothing difficult or groundbreaking, just good times, very well done.
I'm sure they would hate to hear this but it makes an excellent gym/WFH soundtrack
