Urban75 Album of the Year 2023 - The Results!

Ah, Mitski's another one I didn't even realise had a new album out. Maybe 2024 will finally be the year I get around to having an opinion about Mitski. Also, thinking about it that Rev Hayter album seems to have not made much of an impact?
I played this yesterday and today to some friends and they all commented on how good it was.

I had been meaning to use that period of time off at the end of the year to get around to things I've been meaning to do for ages, might as well add "form an opinion about Mitski" to the list.

Came across this last night and played it several times today. Melody, reverb guitar, glorious vocals, bit grungy but almost ambient in a weird way . Its a cracker

ML Buch - Suntub

Didn’t vote. Not going to put my list up. Too many good lists on here already. But one I am surprised that slipped through is CASisDEAD -Famous Last Words. Atmospheric Grime ish.

Will have a listen. Remember hearing that single on People Just Do Nothing and it is still a banger.

Fizzing, constantly promising something very exciting is about to happen, then delivering. Post-punk pefection.

I really like this.

Thanks all for the recommendations.

Largely eschewing the guest vocalists for a change, it's no nonsense psychedlic housey grooves.

This passed me by at the time but I've since listened and really like it - as you say, nothing difficult or groundbreaking, just good times, very well done.

I'm sure they would hate to hear this but it makes an excellent gym/WFH soundtrack :D
