Tim Pool. Investigative journalism in Sweden after Trump allegations on immigration problems

The right has been bashing Sweden since forever. They seize on every Swedish dysfunction (real or imagined) and make a big fuss over it. Immigration is just the latest angle of attack. They don't care about Sweden or Swedes, what they care about is discrediting the Swedish social model of generous welfare provision, progressive taxation and strong unions. That's what this is all about.

Is this the same Tim Pool who took part in the 2nd Holocaust denial conference in Tehran in 2014?

I think NOT!!!

Interested to see if Tim pool is a holocaust denier, I've just spent about an hour scouring internet and scrolling through pages of his Twitter account right back to september/october 2014, which is when the conference you link to took place. He has no Tweets on the exact dates and was around that time covering in Ferguson USA and at something called a climatemarch.

Nowhere can I find anything that even links him with the subject title of the panel you say he was on "The Gaza War & BDS Movement Strategies against the Zionist Regime"

in Fact, he doesn't seem to be even remotely linked to or interested in Gaza and covers mostly protests in the USA. It just doesn't fit his profile.

I may be wrong about Pool but you need to back up your assertion or withdraw it as it is derailing the thread and casting a shadow of doubt over the credibility of a journalist who seems to be doing some very interesting investigative journalism.

I think Tim Pools reports could go to taking the wind out of the sails of the right and their attacks on Sweden's social model.

It is him - he attended(edit: or was at least down to attend) with his mate and journo partner Luke Rudkowski. The one he's in all the videos with. The one who then writes articles about the numerous attacks at left-wing events that Pool suffers as if he (LR) just happened to be there. A quick five minute search this morning whilst having a tea brought up 6 separate incidents of Pool claiming to have been attacked and ran off left-wing events - stretching right back to Occupy and with LR then screaming on twitter/paper columns/interviews etc about anti-white racism or stuff. That's the MO - i will make your enemies look bad - pay me.

Memri would seem on closer inspection to be a biased source to hang Pool on a holcaust denying accustion.

MEMRI's founding staff of seven included three who had formerly served in military intelligence in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).[8][9] MEMRI president and founder Yigal Carmon states that MEMRI's current staff includes "people of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths [who] hold a range of political views".[10]

Yigal Carmon – MEMRI's founder and President. Carmon is fluent in Arabic. He served as Colonel in the Military Intelligence Directorate (Israel) from 1968 to 1988. He was Acting Head of Civil Administration in the West Bank and the adviser on Arab affairs to the civil administration from 1977 to 1982.

MediaTransparency, an organization[54] that monitors the financial ties of conservative think tanks to conservative foundations in the United States, reported that for the years 1999 to 2004, MEMRI received $100,000 from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, Inc., $100,000 from The Randolph Foundation, and $5,000 from the John M. Olin Foundation.[55]

Norman Finkelstein has described MEMRI as "a main arm of Israeli propaganda". In 2006, Finkelstein accused MEMRI of editing a television interview he gave in Lebanon in order to falsely impute that he was a Holocaust denier. In an interview with the newspaper In Focus in 2007, he said MEMRI uses "the same sort of propaganda techniques as the Nazis" and "take things out of context in order to do personal and political harm to people they don't like".[63]

I think you are pissing in the wind. He appears in like two videos with the guy. So what?

Now prove beyond a doubt that

A. Tim Pool was there in Tehran.

B. Tim Pool actually has an interest in the subject he was alleged to be panelling.
