Tim Walz; time up?

I hope the response has been to laugh and continue to point out the weirdness. However it plays in their own bubble, it's only going to look ridiculous to everyone else.

That's what the sane amongst us are doing -

Given that Scout has been in Walzā€™s family since 2019, and recently got his own Vogue profile, reasonable bipedal thinkers might assume that Walz was simply posting a photo with a friendly dog he met at a dog park ā€” not concocting an elaborate scheme to trick voters about his family pet. Nevertheless, the right ran with Grageā€™s post like a hound whoā€™d just stolen the Thanksgiving turkey off the dining room table.

It really seems like nastiness and ability to twist reality are embedded in the psyche of the American right, it can't be genetic it must be something that is nurtured and seems to be growing stronger through each generation of republican politicians.
Or is it just that Nasty self deluded people gravitate to the Republican party right?, either way close to half of the population of North America are happy to align themselves with these sub-human cunts, which is pretty scary

Thats it though the bubble is enormous, to many (probably millions) it wont look ridiculous, they'll buy it and no amount of evidence will change that.
Just look at some of the absolutely batshit absurdity ordinary republican voters will assert is true when questioned

This looks promising:

A bill to join the Compact had languished in the statehouse in Saint Paul since 2006, but Walz was able to sign it after Democrats took control of both chambers and held on to the governorship in 2022. The Compact was a natural fit for a myriad of measures designed to enhance democracy and make voting easier in this civic-minded state, long noted by political scientists for its high rates of voting and political participation. The measures Walz signed included automatic voter registration for those turning 18, permanent mail-in voting lists so citizens donā€™t have to get a ballot every few years, and restoring voting rights to felons. Walz was a supporter of the national compact before signing it.

Under the Compact, states that join would award their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the national popular vote rather than the candidate who wins the most votes in their state. For example, if Donald Trump gets the most votes in Montana (assuming it joined the compact) and Kamala Harris wins the national popular vote, the Treasure State, as it is known, would award its three electoral votes to the Democratic nominee. The Compact does not take effect until states totaling most electoral votes (270 as of 2024) have joined. Once that happens, it ensures the candidate who wins the national popular vote wins the Electoral College.

Jurisdictions totaling 209 electoral votes have signed up. Thatā€™s 77.4 percent of the way to 270. And given the exceedingly narrow focus of presidential campaigns on a tiny fraction of the country, the change canā€™t come soon enough.

tim walz - layabout

Sunshine insisted Walz's retirement from the military after 24 years amounted to "being derelict in his duty."

"And Tim Walz went on to have a political career, like the career politician that he is, always putting himself ahead of his country," she opined.

Not heard of her before, apparently she was doing very important things while Walz was lazing around in fake jobs like high school teacher and governor of Minnesota

Caroline Mohr Sunshine (born September 5, 1995) is an American political aide and former actress, who previously worked as a White House staffer during the Donald Trump administration in 2018. As an actress, she is best known for her co-starring role as flashy, rude European exchange student Tinka Hessenheffern on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up. Sunshine has also appeared in the feature film Marmaduke (2010) and the direct-to-video film The Outfield (2015).

Oh noes...
posted somewhere dodgy...

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) has long promoted a Minnesota-based medical research center with a history of working with the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, according to records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

The center in Walzā€™s home state of Minnesota, the Hormel Institute, often collaborates on research with the WIV, the institute in Wuhan, China, at the center of the COVID-19 lab leak theory. For over a decade, Walz has held meetings with the Hormel Institute and toured the research center, which has thanked Walz for securing it millions of dollars in funding, records show.

OK its a matter of degree but very few of them are any fucking good.
No matter what country or party, politics like the police force has always attracted some of the worst in society
I've always been of the view that the very people who want political power are usually the very people who shouldn't be entrusted with it.

Distant members of Tim Walzā€™s extended family - people related to Walz via his great-uncle - his grandfatherā€™s brother - have shared a photo wearing T-shirts in support of former president Donald Trump.

The image of the eight distant relatives shows them wearing grammatically incorrect ā€œWalzā€™s for Trumpā€ shirts, and standing in front of a ā€œTrump 2024ā€ flag that also reads: ā€œTake America Back.ā€

At a recent speech he acknowledged this story and took the piss slightly saying something along the lines of "we all have family we need to reach out to about this election, lord knows I have!" :D
