Savile travelled about a lot and he was a familiar sight to a lot of people, whether in hospitals, at fun runs and marathons, or just running about the streets of Leeds and other places he visited. In fact, he was so ubiquitous that I have my suspicions that there was more than one Savile. In fact, I believe that Savile was merely an avatar of an evil alien intelligence sent here to wrack misery and dischord upon the world.

Jim’ll Mix It boss: ‘I’m keeping company name’

The managing director of concrete supplier Jim’ll Mix It has told CN that he won’t be changing the company’s name despite the allegations that have surfaced regarding TV star Jimmy Savile.
The firm’s name and logo echo that of Jimmy Savile’s TV showJim’ll Fix It, which aired from the 1970s to 1990s. Jim’ll Mix It was adopted as the brand name for the London-based Modern Mix soon after its founding in 1983.
The Metropolitan police said yesterday that it was pursuing 120 lines of inquiry relating to alleged cases of sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile.
The headstone has been removed from Mr Savile’s grave in Scarborough cemetery at the request of his family out of respect for public opinion.
Jim’ll Mix It’s MD Jimmy Taylor told CN he had “no intention of changing” the brand name.
When asked whether the association with the late Jimmy Savile could harm his business, Mr Taylor said: “What is Jimmy Saville to do with me?”
“I am who I am. I’m in concrete, my name’s Jim.”
However, a conference centre named after Jimmy Savile is set to be renamed as a result of the allegations against him.
A spokesman for Royal Armouries International, which owns Saviles Hall at Clarence Dock in Leeds, told CN that the renaming decision was taken in response to the latest revelations made by police yesterday regarding the nature of the allegations against Mr Savile, which provided a “much more definite perspective” on their investigation.
The spokesman said Saviles Hall will be renamed “as soon as practicable” but that it was “too early to say” what the new name would be.
Jim’ll Mix It is based in Bow and Upminster and employs about 50 people. It supplies concrete and screed and barrowing and pumping services to London and the surrounding regions.
The firm operates conventional drum mixer vehicles, which deliver pre-loaded concrete within an eight mile radius of its originating plant, and volumetric vehicles which carry dry materials to be mixed on site, offering a greater delivery range.

Stoke mand enquiry is the one they will be scared of.

Its certainly the one that seemed to be going down the memory hole yesterday, with a BBC news story mentioning that angle and then editing it out later. But I see that the various hospital allegations are big news again today, albeit Stoke mand not getting top billing.

Can we bloody well decide how many "l"s are in the man's name?! Or did Mr. Taylor misspell it when he spoke to the interviewer? :hmm:

The question of removing his knighthood was brought up and the answer was 'it dies when you do' basically...so why are they still calling him Sir JS on the news?
