Mug update. the Roland Rat superstar mug that got me through university and followed me around the world for several years before finally coming to settle in SE London, has had its handle smashed off. Apparently it happened at Xmas. No one wanted to tell me and hasty repairs were made, but to me , it is ruined. Non one actually saw the break happen - family and visitors just noticed that the handle had "fallen off" .They all deny any involvement,They will pay.

This is my new favourite. The Northerner bought it for me as he teased me that I looked like a moomin while pregnant :)
I like thinner china as I think it's nicer to drink out of. Which is a teensy bit princess and the pea of me, but I'm drinking Yorkshire tea out of it so that makes it ok, right?!

Edited to correct spelling

WANT!!

And tea is def better out of bone or at least thin china.

Sorry for your loss. FWIW only one mug ("great tit") survived right through my student years until now, even the other one of the pair (blue tit") was broken in one of several moves.

I am mugless at the moment :(

My work mug was stolen or it was broken and someone hid the evidence, it was a gift from my manager

My home mugs were these

but I lined them up nicely in rainbow order along my kitchen window sill before christmas and that's the window the burglars used to get in. Most of the mugs were found in the bushes outside but all of the spoons are either broken or missing.

They took me ages to find as well, my local shop was selling them in individual boxes without the colours listed. I spent about 90 minutes going through boxes very carefully in a shop piled with precarious shelves of china to get a full set.

It is indeed V & B - I am comfortable using a girly white mug despite being blokey (I'm not really a blokey bloke though)

I'm still kicking myself that I didn't get the matching wavy plate and cup set that was also on offer - Oh! and the wobbly spoon thing as well

I go through "phases" of things and during a 'Search for the ultimate mug' one I went to an outlet thingy where they were knocking out V & B stuff much cheaply - at the same time I got a delightful Black Peony - Royal Worcester

Just like this one - but this picture doesn't have the chip in the lip that my one now has - it's still a fantastic mug but . . . . . . <sigh>

This is my favourite mug. :)

It is not necessarily my favourite mug because it has a cat on it, but it probably helps. It is my favourite mug because it is just a little bigger than the average mug meaning it is perfect size for a cup of tea, i.e. a little more than normal, but not huge bucket size so you get fed up of drinking by the end
