There’s a petition to have mcfarland do Star Trek. No surprise really. I guess hardcore fans see it much like Jon favreau doing Star Wars. Someone who knows what they are doing and respects it’s roots.
He’s also got brannon braga which shouldn’t be understated for his involvement in much of late 90s/early00s trek as well as having a few others around from that era over the course of the show.
Unlikely to happen as kurtzman recently signed an extension with paramount.
