In what seems to be a remarkable display of urbanite restraint I have a mere six (6) mugs* and 2 (two) cups and saucers** at home;

And this one for work:

30. Some mugs are destined for smashing and going in the bottom of a plant pot, when I next feel the urge to do some breaking and/or balconying.

Not sure.

4 green ones
4 black and white
2 designed by madzone
1 pink floral one
1 blue and white spotty one (best mug - tis huge)
1 that was a gift from girasol
1 that was a gift from Dooby
1 that he won in the dhfc raffle last week
3 given to me as leaving presents

But I'm probably forgetting some. Say 20. Then I have some sixties harlequinware tea and coffee cups (6 of each) and a thirties tea set (another 6).

Is that mug still going, have bits of the print come off or is it all still there? I have a photo of it somewhere :D

I have a cat mug and a nice owl mug, I will take pictures if I ever fish them out of the sink where they are 'soaking'

Enjoying the photos of mug collections here. Especially how they are pretending to be "this is just what they looked like when I opened the cupboard" as if we don't all know that you've selectively turned round/brought to the front the ones you want us to see, so as to portay your "personality" or politics or whatever else in the way you want it to appear.

:D

i reckon close to bloody 20! 2 mug trees and others in cupboard or knocking about, for 2 people! think i only use 3 maybe 4 of them and been saying I want to get rid of one of the mug trees, it's just silly
might count em

:D

My mug/cup shelf really does look that that actually. The mugs/cups I use most often are always at the front, obviously!

far too many mugs designed by that designer who is most horrid of all that is horrid, so horrid that they must not be named, lest they hear and open up a shop nearby

Maybe because thats because all the mugs have been taken out for counting and placed back.

See my 'tit' there? I placed it.

I'm largely transient so only 3 mugs (was 4). I do have 8 wedgwood espresso cups though. Have a bit of a thing for them. 4 of these:

They're amazingly black. The inside is a glossy glaze, the outside matte. 4 more traditional ones in white porcelaine with leaves and gold shit (were grandparent's).

They look well good...

Less is more when it comes to any form of kitchen utensil. If anything it forces you to wash up regularly otherwise you have nothing to drink & eat from. ;)

39...but another 9 in the horsebox, 5 or 6 at the allotment. Quite likely more lurking under beds or in spare room.

Of course, I use the same mug for every drink, every day - the rest are mere fripperies.

There are also numerous cups and mugs in boxes belonging to offspring which were packed at various lifestages (leaving home, for the first, second.....5th time) which are still in loft/garage/boxes on top of cupboards.

In a horse box? Blimey
