The really shitty bit is that Hancock is cynically chasing his own redemption, but he doesn't even know what he's seeking redemption from.
Not the care home murders, not the excess deaths, not the rampant cronyism and corruption that would make Mugabe blush. I'm pretty sure that in his mind it's that "love made me break lockdown rules, a mistake borne out of weakness that meant I had to step away from the good that I was doing in guiding the public through tough times, and that's why I need to make amends."
I hope his final challenge is the 'win food for the camp by having inland taipans and western browns lobbed at your face' trial.

Nah, still think Hancock will be first out, don't think his appearance on the show has been a disaster for him though.

Hancock's become a specialist so it's a bit like losing your star striker. The others were terrible last night. 3 stars out of 11. Hancock's been nailing them all. And managed four laps running of the entire camp compared to the others' one.

Just watching last night's. OK that was funny though when he wiped bird poo off the seat and rinses his hand for a second. Young Hollyoaks actor who seems nice enough suddenly comes out with the wittiest line of the series so far

Still there then, thought he'd be first to get voted off, it appears to have worked out for him. Unbelievably.
My friend is hooked on this and keeps me updated. Apparently he's a machine when it comes to the trials, totally nails them. And is actually more likeable than predicted. So yes, it does seem to have worked out better than we all thought although I've no idea what it's going to do for his career given he's had the whip removed for doing this and will probably be deselected on top of that. Can't seem him getting work as a political commentator.

All you have to do to get people onside with these shit shows is to not be an obviously poisonous primadonna, and pitch in willingly with the stuff. It's not really surprising he's managing to achieve his openly stated aim of laundering his reputation bearing that in mind is it.
I'm sure they're editing it quite carefully as well to make him seem nicer than he is. Their ratings will plummet once he's gone.
