The Final Sopranos on E4 (no spoliers)

That was some pretty outrageously unprofessional behaviour from Melfi's clinical supervisor

For a therapist to just drop a patient like that is virtually unknown and after all those years in therapy, being rejected by Melfi would have been devastating for Tony

I'd love to know if that paper actually exists, I imagine that it is fictional. There was a real mafia don who went into analysis and did become a better person, tried to make everything more legit and non-violent and ended up getting murdered by a rival gangster who hadn't been in analysis.

I saw a documentary about that. I think it was called 'Analyze This'.

hmm, that would rather depend upon Tony genuinely believing in his therapy. But if he was using it in the manner suggested by that paper, then it wouldnt be that big a deal.

I think the second half of the last series has been shit. Boring. Every week I sit down and think that because nothing happened last week surely it's gonna kick off this week. But it never does, despite how excited I get. And now I've had to wait until the second to last episode for anything significant to happen leaving just one episode to finish the story. Very disappointing...

Didn't think Paulie Walnuts would be last of the old crew standing - "check out those pins!" :D

CyberRose - but you're still watching, right? It's never been that kinda show, where something kicks off and changes everything. Slow burning, stately pace.

Last one next week, and there's still a few ways it could go.

Aaaah, poor old Bobby and Sil.

Still, at least Bobbies memory lives on in the fuck off massive machine gun he gave Tony.

I don't think it's been the best series, but if you take the whole Sopranos experience as one thing, it's the best thing on telly still.

Of course I'm still watching it, everything else on TV is utter utter shite

May I draw your attention to a little show we like to call The Wire?

It's on some silly satellite channel though isn't it? Cant be arsed with whole series on DVD's. I never get round to watching them.

i dont think you understand the word 'significant'

Get off it. It's only got going in the second half. Yesterday was excellent, like an old time Western, the hero alone, with a few hapless followers get's ready for the final battle.
Excellent stuff.

Exactly! Christophers murder, AJ's suicide attempt, tony taking peyote - all significant moments to name but a few.

Wow that was great! Heh only joking, about as good as the rest of the series (as in not very). Real shame such a great show went down the drain like that...

I watched the last series a while ago. I thought it was brilliant. It had all got so much subtle.

that was a fucking genius ending, as close to perfect as you could get!

the whole episode was marvellous, and that ending - a cheap trick, but absolutely the right thing to do

So did Tony get "slotted" at the end..??

If so who called in the hit..??

I think it was Patsy Parasi still angry at Tony ordeering his brother's hit at the beginning of series two..

There is a huge Tony sized hole in my life right now..:(

Got to admit I loved the way the raised the tension towards the end and then when the screen went to black I thought "fuck, what a time for the tv to go on the blink". Now that the shock's worn off I reckon I quite liked the end.

That's how it would be if Tony did get killed though, one minute everything's normal, then it all goes blank

That's how Phil died and how a lot of them died
