The Final Sopranos on E4 (no spoliers)

I missed the first episode (of the second half of the last season - ie, on Sunday 2/9)

Any ideas where I might get it, people?

E2A: what season is this and what number was the one shown on 2/9?

E2AA: It was season 6 ep 13

E2AAA: Found it! ;)

John Cooper Clarke - Evidently Chicken Town
:)
Isn't it just called Chicken Town? - that was so weird hearing a song from my youth by a Mancunian poet in the most unlikely of settings.

You're absolutely right. But the version last night has a shiny new name.
Don't know why.
Here's the link to the version from The Sopranos.

It was weird hearing it. But it fucking worked.
:)

I'm a big fan of ^^that^^ fact.

Loving the way The Sopranos is moving at it's usual, fairly sedate, pace even though time is fleeting..

Another brilliant episode last night. Paulie Walnuts is a fucking fantastic character.

Does anyone know what that bit where Tony had to ask for a $200,000 loan to cover his betting losses was all about?

And, is it Phil and his crew who are offing all the different pretenders to Johnny Sac's crown??

Phil did say he was not interested in taking over the NY crew, but i still reckon he does want to...

He did at first, but then there was that scene last week (or maybe the week before) where he was telling all the kids about how great his family was and they used to be called Leonardo. He had a moody look on him when that happened.

I've just seen this Sundays. The bit with Vito's son in the shower shocked me!

I really hope Tony kills Phil, Billy Bats stylee, whilst calling him a fucking mutt.

Phil is getting out of hand, reckon that one'll be whacked for sure.

Loved Christophers line when Tony lost on the horses - "That was a cunt's hair away from winning".

You don't get that on The Bill now do you?

Tony's gambling habit seeems to have developed very suddenly. Apart from a spot of poker, I don't remember him gambling before.

I think it was just a plot device for this weeks episode. It was basically resolved when he gave the Jewish guy his money at the end. I was thinking for a moment that it was going to be his downfall, but now I reckon it's the Phil thing that will end the series (and the whole show).

Either that or little Vito is going to wack Tony for sending him to that camp.

I have a feeling that while they're all worrying about Anthony killing himself little Vito might take his own life.

Blame and recriminations in all directions would ensue, with possibly only Tony feeling any guilt, although he has a minimal capacity for tolerating guilt and tends to defend against it by lashing out and blaming someone else.

Christopher is in for now, that could bring the whole house of cards falling down.

I reckon either Chrissy or Paulie are gonna get it by the end of the series, maybe Chris by Phil.

Best moment

Tony is trying to help Anthony with his depression and the conversation goes something like...

Tony: You're not on your own feeling depressed, there's a lot of it about, there's even a whole industry devoted to this kind of thing

Anthony: What, you mean like the therapy industry?

Tony: No, the music industry

genius

Only just started Sopranos about a week ago.

Seen the first 6 episodes and loving it.
Knew I would so decided not to try and keep up on TV.

Loved it last night - that shot of everyone laughing at Christopher was aces, Tony looked like a demon with the smoke coming out..

What is there, two episodes to go? Still wide open..

Last nights episode was a corker. You can see things starting to fall apart.

What does this mean. In what?

Christopher again showed why he is my favourite character last night.
You start feeling sorry for him with his troubles with Paulie & his father-in-law's store. His addiction difficulties & the social life in this business of his. Then you realise he is a total psychopath as he murders the script writer after coming to him pissed up & desperate.
If you remember Christopher was the first of the characters to murder someone way back in season 1 episode 1 when he murdered the Czech mobster in Satrelies. Offered him a line of coke racked up on a butchers knife & blew his brains out when he took a sniff.

it's a typo

mean to read in for it

He'll get caught, locked up and possibly offered leniency if he turns state evidence

He'll be in the same situation Adriana was in only worse and with more to lose.

Then things would get very interesting as he's feeling resentful of Tony and he has a child and family to consider too.

Maybe that would be too obvious a plot development though.

Watched last night. For a horrible moment during the credits I thought that was the last episode, and killing Christopher was the climax of the whole thing. Then we got a preview of next weeks. *phew*

Christopher dead helped by Tony..

Never saw that coming, but utterly brilliant..

Tony tripping on Peyote.. What did he mean when he saw "the light" in the desert..??
