The Championship 2018/19 thread

Nice long international break to enjoy it cos it won't last when we start playing games again :D
It has come at the wrong time for us, we've just started to play some decent stuff. Finally have a decent winger on either flank getting crosses in, low and behold we start scoring goals.

First game i've missed in ages today and we fucking won

My lad started a new job last week and had to miss his first Albion game this season, a 4-1 thumping of Reading.

The Baggies have scored 31 goals now, as many as they managed all of last season.

Showing some consistency along with The Blades.

Gayle, Rodriguez and Phillips are a cut above in this league, not forgetting Barnes, the team has goals in it from all positions.

Yes, the top 6/7 in the table will take some budging too!

You never know there might be a late gate crasher like Millwall nearly did last season.

Maybe but it won't be us. The league is much stronger this season, Villa and Stoke will be up there and maybe Brum or Blackburn will be the surprise package.

5th to 16th separated by four points. Wednesday moved up 6 places by winning yesterday. In the play off places for first time in over a year

Perfect time for an international break, 3 very tough games and we picked up 5 points (and could have had more if not for some crumbly defending).

Shame we put the Blades top but I'm sure they're grateful (perhaps even enough to cock it up on the 9th Nov?) ;)

I wasn't convinced by Luhukay's appointment at the time, but he seems to have the right idea in terms of how he wants us to play and rotating the squad.

I'm warming to him - but wish he would sort the Westwood situation out. It's insane that he's not playing. Dawson is an accident waiting to happen every game.

Yep. I fancied Brentford to go up until this happened but they survived losing Mark Warburton ok.
They seem to be a well run club from top to bottom. Thier clever recruitment of players and managers has given them stability albeit on a smallish budget. They play a certain way that works for them, but do lose decent players at critical times. Maybe the new stadium will help them kick on to the next level.
I was with a Millwall mate on Saturday who was resigned to relegation before the game. Not so much after.
That seems to be the consensus from most, we certainly needed to change our style of play, so far so good.

Reach with another sweet goal, but we were second best against Boro.

Can't believe how many passes went astray, including whatever Lees thought he was doing for the second goal

QPR in 13th are only six points away from the leaders. It's a crazy and tight league this season. Derby's win at West Brom was a bit of an eye opener. Lampard is looking tactically astute even at this stage in his managerial career.

Another good win for blues, can't quite believe it, but enjoying this run 'cause knowing blues as i do, we'll contrive to fall at the last hurdle. Injuries or a ffp points deduction will probs do us in tbh, but in the meantime i'll just bask in the glow of watching a half decent team for once!

What a job monk is doing, very good manager, you can see a properly organized team with a clear plan out there. Even potus is worried about wednesday though.

Can we (Fulham) rejoin the Championship now please? Anyone want to swap places?

Gawd knows. We’d have been better off sticking with last years team. It’s getting embarrassing.
