The Alt-Right

This crank's shitty self-published eugenicist tract is currently the 38th-best selling book on Amazon overall, and #1 in both political philosophy and ancient Greek history:

Didn't think I recognised the name, but it turns out I have heard of them before: Bronze Age Pervert - Wikipedia

it's getting great reviews!

I wish I could be confident those reviews were jokes, but I'm not sure they are. I like the bit about the degeneracy of "modern Ancient Greece".

Is Tucker Carlson is part of the alt-right?

If he is, then this goes here.

An American right-wing political commentator is set to have a conversation with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith in January when he's scheduled to speak in Calgary.

Tucker Carlson, who was fired by Fox News in April, is scheduled to appear at a luncheon at the Telus Convention Centre on Jan. 24.

An itinerary posted on Carlson's website said he will make remarks, before being interviewed by a local businessman and then having a conversation with Smith.

Carlson's a lot more interesting than the rest of them. He's been broadcasting some blistering attacks on "vulture capitalism" recently, and he's vehemently opposed all of the USA's wars for the last 5 years. He certainly used to be on the "right," but he's not easily categorized these days.

He's not interesting. He's a white supremacist and extraordinarily dangerous individual.

Do you have any evidence for this? Anything at all?

In my experience, people simply parrot and ape what they've heard others say about Carlson, without looking for themselves.

Fuck me, that was a tough assignment. Typing "is tucker carlson a white supremacist" into Google and seeing the myriad results.

So the answer to your question is yes. Lots and lots.

I'll give you "how white men fight." That's the offhand racism of the country club, as opposed to the committed ideology of the fascist, but it's racism nonetheless. Fair enough.

But people should be very suspicious of charges emanating from the ADL. They'll twist and distort and malign without scruple once they have a target in their sights. And they really, really hate Carlson. I'd trace that animosity to his hatchet-job on Paul Singer. He said at the time that they'd come after him, and after him they have most certainly come.

The reason I find Carlson interesting is he represents the traditional WASP ruling class, who are presently awakening to their diminished power and influence. His firing by Fox encapsulated a significant split in the American elite--partly ethnic, partly economic, partly ideological--which could potentially be exploited by the "Left." Division is weakness, and the American ruling class are now divided to an extent unprecedented since WW2.

Those who are easily trolled?
Yeah.

Just boring to see right wing talking points amplified or "just saying" on urban.

There's enough of that on twitter and all the rest.

There's oodles of evidence against far right bigots like Carlson posted here but no, lazy fools who be making their voice heard just have to rehash again and again.

My guess is that Dwyer has been doing this shite on other platforms for the last 6 years until he ran out of audiences.

I'd put the troll on ignore but, truth be told, want to be there for the permaban. Which can't be far off.

I’ve never considered Dwyer far right.
