The Alt-Right

It would be really interesting to find out who actually paid for all this:

It's an Aljazeera article and Aljazeera is owned by the Qatari regime. Mark Owen Jones who wrote the article works for the Qatari franchise of North-Western University, so Qatar paid for the article defending Qatar.

No shit Sherlock. I am perfectly well aware of who Marc Owen Jones is, who he works for and is paid by. I am talking about the 'shadowy social media operation'; the subject of the piece.

I was talking about the Qatari media operation, which seems reasonable as this article is about how the Qatari Royals reputation has been besmirched. The Qaari Royal family are rich and brutal dictators, so I don't have time for their apologists regardless of what other arguments they drag in to defend them.

As to "shadowy ", it's an antisemitic trope, so why use it.

It was not in the least bit obvious that you were talking about the Qatari media operation, at least to me. As for his use of 'shadowy' being an antisemitic trope. I tried searching using both Google and DuckDuckGo and can find no evidence of this.

Which bit wasn't obvious?

Jeez  in the cold light of day, I have worded that all wrong for which I apologise. What I actually mean is that rather than wondering as did I who actually paid for the social media campaign as you put it 'besmirching' them you have drawn from the piece that it is purely a piece defending the Qatari regime who we can both agree are not nice people. Nevertheless, according to the article it was a very large operation. It must have cost a lot of money and again according to the article they have gone to some trouble to cover their tracks, paying for the operation using Vietnamese dong, using a Vietnamese front company. It would be nice to know who paid for it, not that we are ever likely to know.

not intimidation, oh no.

"Despite the many debunked falsehoods about widespread voting by noncitizens, liberal Latino advocacy groups say they are being trailed by conservative activists with cameras and accused of registering undocumented immigrants"

"falsehoods" - how i hate that word.

Yuk. i sincerely hope these people do not feel emboldened by Trumps win:

I think that was the day that ended badly for them, they were run out of town and they managed to pepper spray each other in their U-Haul. The surplus pricks.

Nick Fuentes is reaching the end of the FAFO graph, the shooter had just killed 3 family members and decided NF was next. Fucked up shit.

Police in Chicago have shot dead a man wanted for a triple homicide who showed up at the home of far-right streamer Nicholas Fuentes on Wednesday night armed with a pistol and a crossbow.
Fuentes, 26, a controversial white nationalist figure, was “doxxed” last month, with his address leaked online after his “your body, my choice” comments in the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory sparked widespread outrage.

“Last night an armed killer made an attempt on my life at my home, which was recently doxxed on this platform,” Fuentes wrote in a post on X on Thursday.

“The gunman carried a pistol, crossbow, and incendiary devices. I believe he intended to kill me. He is now dead. I am OK!”

Fuentes, who said he was live-streaming at the time of the incident, added that he would now “have to uproot my life and relocate”.

Ring security camera video shared by Fuentes showed the man, carrying the weapons and wearing a motorcycle helmet and backpack, ring the doorbell, try the doorknob and yell, “Yo, Nick!”

This was an interesting read, freelance mole into the militias.

Why does there seem unanimous use of terms like "post alt-right" and the suggests 2016 is a bygone era? The alt-right doesn't seem to have gone away to me, far from it. The term was always clunky and I can see why people dont want to use it but is there some material change that has happened that warrants the distancing?

It's not "alt" anymore?

The right is many faceted, am guessing? Theres probably not one suitable umbrella term for it.
