Holocaust denier wins GOP nomination in heavily Democratic seat

Republican candidate Arthur Jones, a Holocaust denier who has been disavowed by his own party, will be the GOP's nominee in a suburban Chicago congressional district after he ran in Tuesday's primary unopposed.

Jones's campaign website contains a section called "The Holocaust Racket" in which he argues that there is "no proof such a so-called 'Holocaust' ever took place anywhere in Europe against the Jews" and that Jews are "directly responsible for the murder of at least 300 million people."

Jones in February told the Chicago Sun-Times that he's a former leader of the American Nazi Party.

Attorney says Roy Moore supporters offered him $10,000 to drop client who accused the Senate candidate of sexual impropriety

"Days after a woman accused U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual impropriety, two Moore supporters approached her attorney with an unusual request.

They asked lawyer Eddie Sexton to drop the woman as a client and say publicly that he did not believe her. The damaging statement would be given to Breitbart News, then run by former White House strategist Stephen K. Bannon.

In exchange, Sexton said in recent interviews, the men offered to pay him $10,000 and promised to introduce him to Bannon and others in the nation’s capital. Parts of Sexton’s account are supported by recorded phone conversations, text messages and people in whom he confided at the time."

Somehow just came across this lot via twitter.

Looking at their symbolism etc, my very first thought was that they were a slickly branded bunch of proto-fascist cunts. But then I read this:
Generation Identity does not provide a platform for any kind of national-socialist or fascist groups or views.
So all my ill-founded fears were alleviated.

It was more the rest of the thread that chimed for me:
The Far Right has been using homeless outreach as a tactic for years. It allows them to recruit the vulnerable, while softening their image. It fits neatly into GI's strategy of 'actions', designed to give them attention, and to normalize racism.
If you want to completely Godwin this shit, the Nazis used soup kitchens, both in the early days in bringing recruits into the SA, and later in building up their electoral profile.
Both Stuchbery.

And generallucifer:
What the hell is it with sinister Far Right groups and their fetish for bold, simple logos?? has history taught them nothing?
:D

Finally looks like one of the recent spate of left-wing focused books on the modern right in the US (Bray and Reid-Ross i'm thinking of in particular) has got it's theoretical feet on the ground - this from Matthew N Lyons looks promising if it follows up on these three core ideas:

1. Disloyalty to the state is a key dividing line within the U.S. right.

2. The far right is ideologically complex and dynamic and belies common stereotypes.

3. Fighting the far right and working to overthrow established systems of power are distinct but interconnected struggles.

Except it really isn't that simple, once you look at the link you provided.

"For purposes of this book, I define the U.S. far right not in terms of a specific ideology, but rather as those political forces that (a) regard human inequality as natural, inevitable, or desirable and (b) reject the legitimacy of the established political system".

This is so general and accusative as to be meaningless. And yet you celebrate this?

troubling for you is it?

I'm not quite sure where to post this (as a newish member of this forum) but thought this might be a useful first place.

Generation Identity, the "identitarian" organisation are holding a conference in London on April 14th.

There is a counter protest/action.

I can't speak personally on the authenticity of any of the above beyond saying "it looks legit"...

Mmm, not much use, but maybe a starting point for people who might be interested.

Saw these up near Goldsmiths...Someone doesn't appreciate the sentiment clearly...

against strong competition, this is the vilest comment I've heard in quite a while.

Bevin: ‘I guarantee’ a child was sexually assaulted because teachers attended protest

"Gov. Matt Bevin, asked Friday about teachers leaving the classrooms to attend a protest rally in Frankfort, said, “I guarantee you somewhere in Kentucky today a child was sexually assaulted that was left at home because there was nobody there to watch them.” "

maybe he's mad that he got overridden

He later made a wishy washy semi-apology...
He acknowledged that he “clearly did not communicate that well”
Bevin tries again to explain claim that teacher protests caused child sexual assaults

Perfectly normal thing for a joo-obsessed holocaust denier to tweet on the fuhrer's birthday.
