The all boxing thread

Haven't seen a high-res rerun yet :D but I'm a bit disappointed I didn't make the decision to get up for this. An amazing fight, not at all what was predicted (except the winner).
Wonder what now for the division. Good as Usyk is...and yes he's brilliant...he'd be surrendering a LOT of important stats to a boxer who is almost as technically good. Tyson can come in a stone lighter than he did last night and still be able to bully him.

Had to watch first thing in roapy filmed from the telly zoomed in vision. Poor viewing but still exciting, could tell it must have been a spectacle in proper hd full frame.

must be watching the same thing i am Chillis,

cannot believe wilder did not learn more from the first fight , punching himself out and letting the big man leaning on him as he keep ducking his head

is going to have to fight a HD version later

good fight

fury is a bellend but a hell of boxer

do you get a music interlude instead of commentry due the second round if so it the same thing

:hmm:

It was a great fight but for the last 2 or 3 rounds Wilder was dead on his feet.

He had instructed his team not to throw the towel in, and took some real punishment.
Awful for the old noggin being repeatedly punched in it by a 19 stone man for an hour or so

It was a bit “carried out on his shield” stuff

thought he was gassed by round 6 really,

but it was all about his reputation, he not as humbled as Josha was the other week but he know he got nothing on Tyson now

Hopefully AJ will agree to stand aside to allow Fury v Usyk to unify all the belts, on the promise he'll get first shot at the winner. Ideally that'd be Fury, and we could have a packed Wembley with two British fighters fighting for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

Can't see what he does, now. Good time to retire. Can't have too many fights taking the sort of head punches he did last night.

Isn't Fury just too big for Usyk, who had to go up a weight for AJ?

6.3 and 100 kg to fury 6.9 126 but Tyson could lose a stone and still lean on the ukrainian

Usyk is more of a Boxer than wilder

Yeah, I think it'd be a more interesting fight. Wilder was looking to unload one big bomb, whereas Usyk will be looking to outbox Fury.

also to unified the belts in 2 divisions would make your mark up their with some of the best of all time

hard to turn down that chance

not be reported as of yet

he does hold his hands after the big swings they commented on it shortly after the doctor entered the ring to check on him

also for anyone still looking for a good link

After 2nd watching I’m a bit meh!
It was exciting for sure but I’ve been reading things about it being one of the best heavyweight fights of all time, wtf is that all about.

just shows how poor the heavyweight division has been for the last 10 years or more

they were saying it was Gotti Vs ward of the heavy weight division err bit to much high praises
