Sleaford Mods

btw it is weird going to see a band with forty somethings in it, who are more angry than the teenagers etc, in the latest bands, not only that, I remember seeing the Clash, Jam, Pistols, etc(was that genuine anger?)but I really didn't imagine at my age I would be going to see such bands now, thought it would be country/blues etc, from now on, infantalism?
I think the answer to that lies with you - are you still angry? Is the music a good way to channel it? Does it feel forced/nostalgic/fake, etc. or vital and alive? If your answers are in the positive column then fuck everything else, surely?

Hipsters/youths who go to see sleaford mods aren't an angry crowd. Far from it. To them the tunes are singalongs with meaningless lyrics. On the occasions ive seen them with a large crowd many are watching in bewilderment like that audience in the early kraftwerk performance.

They were superb at the 100 Club a few weeks back. I saw them "in conversation" at the London School of Communication too - seemed very genuine and humble to me.

He doesn't say he's voting Labour tbf and the bits about the futility of voting (and English identity) are pretty good, as is the language/words.

But yeah maybe it's slightly overreaching, I dunno. They are perhaps better at pointing the shit out and than proposing solutions. Like the rest of us.

that oasis protest song again

Is it my imagination
Or have I finally found something worth living for?
I was looking for some action
But all I found was cigarettes and alcohol
You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top . . .
You gotta make it happen!

Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for?
It's a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol!

You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top . . .
You gotta make it happen!

I'm selling two sleafod mods tickets for the O2 in Oxford on the 11th March. I got them as a present for my boyfriend, but he has a uni thing that night so we can't go and i need to sell them! £15 for both?
