Yeah I know what you mean and I don't know why I am telling you to refurb the chairs, I've got 1 wobbly dining chair that I found by the communal bins (waste not, want not) a few months ago intending to unwobble and refurb it but have I fuck...

I've decided I'm going to restore them. It'd be wrong not to, but it's not at the top of my list of priorities right now. Although I guess this means I'm going to have to build a new computer table... Thanks everyone!

That's Bob. Bob is my furry shadow. Every time I opened the door to leave the room where I was spraying the table top, Bob was waiting impatiently outside. Bob likes to explore new places, and he hasn't been in that room, so I had to open the door slightly and shuffle out sideways, lest he broke in and jumped up on top of the freshly lacquered table. Bob likes being on things, particularly things he knows he shouldnt be on. Bob is a bit of a twat

Anyway, scaffolding's up and the weather is set to be fine for the next week or so. The good news is apart from the bottom board that was plainly fucked, the rest of the woodwork is, to my total surprise, mostly ok.

Put a new fence panel in today and modified it a bit to make sure it doesn’t go the same way as the old one, we’ve got some urban Badgers.

The table was put in place and temporarily assembled to see how it'd fit and look in the dining room. It's full of overspray and still needs a little sanding and finishing with the buffer but I do like how it looks now. It's a totally different table.

I've been having a fight with myself over whether to finish the table top with bees wax or lacquer, but I'd already bought the lacquer so I set about it this morning.

This is the 9th and hopefully final coat.
