I'm pretty sure part of the reason for stumbling home from fancy dress parties and the like in dress, wig and high heels at 10am sunday morning was winding up the Christians on their way to church. TBF to the local muslims, they barely used to bat an eyelid, just smile a bit then if I bumped into them later they'd just go 'good night last night was it?'.

b) I want to expand on this. My argument is not quite complete and I think it's a useful one, if I may say so myself.

I haven't mentioned a lone nutter, I mentioned one extreme Christian church, of which there are many. If you want a comprehensive list of Christian nutters making life more miserable than it need be in their communities, it would take a while...

The far right usually prospers at times of economic decline. Germany in the 1930s being the most obvious case. Extremist nutters are extremist nutters. Their use of race or religion to promote their cause has fuck all to do with race or religion.

The government fucking loves it. They actively promote it. Allow lots of immigration, but keep those people waiting in limbo with no right to work for years on end whilst using racist dog whistles to get people to turn on them. The employers get cheap labour and the workers are too busy fighting each other to point the finger at the rich cunts who are robbing them blind.

It's the last paragraph that is missing the other mechanisms by which successive UK governments have abused immigration. In addition to making low-skilled immigrants and refugees wait for years to receive papers, with limited benefits and no right to work (pushing them straight into the arms of the gangmasters and in no position to insist on NMW), that have imported the skilled working-class from the Caribbean, upon whom the NHS is utterly reliant, they have imported the middle-class from India, upon whom the NHS is also utterly reliant. They have imported teachers from Canada and Australia by proactively advertising for them to emigrate. The often poor countries that paid to train these skilled workers lose valuable resources twice over whilst the government sells out our youth saving a few quid for themselves and businesses by importing the skills. Ditto with Eastern European plumbers.

I am in favour of open borders, but that requires absolutely militant worker action to:

1. Ensure NMW legislation is proactively enforced, with public information films and websites to help people check their wage packets and explaining common abuses, and hotlines to report abusive employers.

2. Full recourse to temporary benefits and work whilst any immigrant is awaiting papers, with a maximum of 6 months for those papers to be issued. Whilst on benefit or in work and awaiting papers, to be part-managed by the TUC to ensure that they cannot be exploited by employers through ignorance of the system and language barriers and to ensure that free language assistance and lessons are available to all immigrants and their families.

3. The repeal of every law passed under Thatcher.

My point is,if muslims want to have areas where people want different religious laws they need to adopt something along the lines of eruv's. They have eruv's in the UK I believe. Communities should have the right of self-determination.

The people who set up the eruvs have done so with the support of the local government and one would assume with the support of the local community, the muslims should do the same if that is what they want, if they get the support of the local community they should be treated the same as other religious groups.
