Normally a friendly wouldn't merit a thread, but if any does, surely it is this one? Great match for the neutrals out there too :)
 
I'm surprised they have time for this in the middle of the group stages of a world cup...
 
Most players get 45 mins in an U21 game or something when they haven't played for two years. Southgate plays Phillips in an international.
 
This is what happens when you insist on playing people who aren't playing regularly for their clubs.
 
Yep Scotland were absolute shite and England won't have had a more comfortable evening for a while even against the diddy teams in their qualifying group.

Bit of a reality check for us. We've had a great year or so but miles off it tonight and a long way to go to reach that level.

No doubt we'll qualify but let's see what happens in the tournament itself.
 
It was a bit thud & blunder from us. Obviously Maguire offered some light relief but i dont think we've been outplayed like that by them for a while.
