Rumsfield pushing for war on Iran

TeeJay said:
It's a gamble: destabilisation in Iraq may well end up leading to destabilisation in Iran. Iran might think that they will benefit from setting fires in Iraq but these fires next door may well end up setting fire to their own house.

Interfering in the politics of neighbouring countries is always a gamble imho (although for some nations the deck is "loaded"), and as I said, I'm not convinced that politicians (and/or clerics for that matter) tend to pay much mind to their own safety until forced to by circumstance.

The difference between reading yours and his, though, is that I know that he can write in proper english and that he usually has some knowledge of the subjects that he posted on.

Peebs writes in "proper English"....are you sure you're talking about the person I think you're talking about?

Peebs' posts were full of bad spelling errors and often lacked proper punctuation.

Ah see, you do know how to use proper english.

pbman represents the side of the us population that supports the evils of the American society.

Personally, I like to know the hows and whys of a country whose arrogance is threatening world peace. Especially since they live right next door - and we just elected a government who is far more sympathetic to their cause than the previous government.

Well then, why do you continue to bang on about how america has changed since 911? Why do your posts ignore the stuff that led up to 911?

I remember your position on invading iraq before it happened. I remember you banging on about how american people feel after 911.

I absolutely do not recall you mentioning any root causes for 911.

But here you are now telling me historical reasons for the lead up to 911. Why not then? Why did you not recognise the cause and effect before 911? Why did you post as if 911 was the beginning of the current bullshit that passes for world affairs?

That's not exactly correct. You were going on about some movie or book talking about root causes for 911. Inevitably, it sounded like it threw the whole thing back into the lap of the americans.

My reply was that to the extent that one is examining processes or causes, you can't just snip out a few years and look at them, you have to look at the whole continuum.

Were there root causes for 911? Yes; a religious fanatic took a look at history and current events, and came up with a warped version that called for him to commit terrorist acts against innocent civilians.

or for that matter how the fuck a "canadian" would know how the fuck americans feel any more than a french man would...

ignore his spouting rethoric bollocks he's wrtiing cheques his creduilty cannot cash...

Which shows how much you know about the relationship between Canada and the US.

In my view it is about time someone bombs the USA to hell.

I am convinced some readers do not want "peace" but for their greedy own at the cost of tens of thousands of innocent lives.

salaam.

Erm...

Yes, surely "Erm..." ...
(you give evidence how easy it is to get a different perspective on things, purely by mutilating a text with partial quotation of it.)

Well, if you're going to throw around intimations of violence against innocents, then you might expect this sort of thing.

Why might I expect mutilation of my posts, hence making appear what I write as something else then intended?
Is that because it contains the sacred words "United States of America" and I am (proud to be and very relieved because of it) not US made?

Did you notice we are posting in a thread where the murdering of uncountable innocents by the USA is advocated as something very good by some of the posters?

salaam.

Yeah, but don't worry about it. The Iraqi vets. are having a whip 'round for straightjackets.

Yes, I agree with you. The quote was butchered.

Thank you so very much once again to the arrogant, bloodthirsty, greedy shameless scum first class, commonly named USA..

You do know that it is a very small group of people that direct the behaviour of the capitalist/military machine called the US? And that many people in the US suffer every day due to the poverty, violence and injustice that the ruling clique inflict upon the defenceless?

Your hatred is ugly.

It was in no way a very small amount of the US population that rewarded a murdering criminal with a re-election.

And that many people in the US suffer every day due to the poverty, violence and injustice that the ruling clique inflict upon the defenceless?

Uncountable more people outside the USA suffer daily, constantly, since decades from the violence and injustice inflicted upon them by the US policies.

Your hatred is ugly.

Hate is a word that does not reside in my dictionary. It is also a word that is far too easily thrown around by people using this language. I don't think many of them have a vague notion of what hate actually stands for.
Hate is the most destructive, all consuming, all overrruling, all encompassing, all controling of all human emotions. I turns man into a senseless beast (and that is an insult to the beasts).

Maybe you could ask all the US'ers advocating the killing of tens of thousands of innocents about why they hate these unkown men, women, children, babies, unborn babies that much? That includes two people I love dearly. One was my second mother. I miss her every second of my life for the rest of my life. Where was the blind US hate that murdered her coming from? Would you consider such a murderous hate "ugly" or is that just normal to you?

salaam.

60% of the eligible electorate voted in the 2004 elections. That leaves about 30% of the citizens of the US voting for Bush.

Misery is misery, wherever it is found.

I am sorry for your loss.

These people are asked that a lot. They never answer. I've always assumed that they don't see them as people. I think that that is sad.

There for the grace of god go I

Virtually no one in the US advocates killing even a single innocent. This stands in stark contrast to the rhetoric of our enemies who argue that there are no innocent Americans or Israelis. Since you lie about this, I'll assume that you are also lying about your mommy.

Don't you think this is a scandal to begin with?
US'ers have their mouth full of "democracy" and "freedom", yet when it comes to it, they are simply to lazy to use their ability to exercise their right to vote for a change (leaving aside that a nation where two major, capitalist inspired and capitalist sponnsored parties run and control the political fiel can hardly be called a democracy. US'ers are also too intellectually and physically lazy to change that).

In principle yes.
In reality those in the USA have it thanks to their chosen government.
Those who suffer from it outside the USA thanks to that chosen US government have all the reasons of the world to ask why that is and how it came to be (at the very least). Don't you agree?

I am sorry for your loss.

Thank you.

salaam.

More accusations of lying, Yam?

You do realise that projecting your own failings onto others doesn't absolve you of those failings, don't you?
