I like how the Brooklyn Public Library is pushing back against some of this shit by giving teens across America free library cards and access to electronic versions of books banned in other jurisdictions.

That plan comes on the heels of his blocking public high schools from teaching a new advanced placement course on African American studies.
so far, at least 25 states have considered legislation or other steps to limit how race and racism can be taught, according to an analysis from Education Week. Eight states, all Republican-led, have banned or limited the teaching of critical race theory or similar concepts through laws or administrative actions. The bans largely address what can be taught inside the classroom.

Good. Though I doubt anyone much less sinister will get the nod. That lot seem to churn them out. Sounds like others won't be far behind him in imposing authoritarian interference in higher education in other states.

I decided Florida Bill was a cunt years ago and would sooner hear no more about him.

It's a massive warning as to what to expect from deSantis , if anyone was uncertain at this stage.
