riots in paris banlieu...

i couldn't give a shit mate sorry :)

john simpson is calling the 'rabble' demonstrators

"A woman of 24, heavily pregnant, came to the courtroom to find journalists who would be interested in watching a video she had made of the police coming to her flat to arrest her husband. In fact he had been on night-shift, and not out in the streets at all - but the video showed how aggressive the police were, and there are dozens of accounts going the rounds of the police shouting at the demonstrators that they are "sales arabes", dirty Arabs."

Besides high unemployment, there is an issue of political representation at stake. It seems as though Arabs and Africans have few, if any elected representatives in the government.

Why that is, I'm not sure.

no they have the vote.
or do you mean that only blacks and arabs can represent french people who in your eyes (and the eyes of too many french admittedly) are still arabs and blacks living in france?

1 black senator. not that thats of relevance.

There's just been a french commentator on 5Live who closed his peice with;

"These people want to be accepted, they have proved their Frenchness by going out in the street and fighting the police. In France if there is a political problem, you go and fight the police. That is what these people have done!"

:D

Sort of like a French version of our Cricket test!?

Well, I think many would agree especially the participants in this uprising that France would benefit greatly if it were handed over to the leaders of the uprising. If you disagree please tell me why.

We have our race problems in America, I'm aware of that. Its not about some pissing contest between the US and France. But telling you as an American, you look at the black representation in the US House of Reps, the Congressional Black Caucus for instance and of course Powell and Rice.

I know about the US, I don't know enough about the French system to understand why these people have no elected representatives, if that is the case.

where to said:
there are no leaders in this insurrection. it is spontaneous. i guess that concept is lost with you though.

Actually, I've read that they have strong support from some powerful people. I think the words the French authorities used were "unseen hands" behind this. I'll look for the article. If they don't have appointed leaders just yet why not give them the chance.

The the argument that Powell or Rice are an advancement for black people is a bloody stupid one.

Your ruler may share the same colour as you but he is still your ruler. A black person is no better off being ruled by a black person that he is being ruled by a white person.

you mean the fatwa banning muslims taking part?
can you please show me some evidence of support from anybody whatsoever?

all it is kids filling bottles with gasoline and throwing them. its not complicated.

i don't know why i'm wasting my time with your inane shit tbh.

Leaders behind the riots...

In a sign of organisation behind the riots, police discovered a petrol-bomb factory south

The rioters and their leaders aren't demanding that the French embrace them, nor is that what they are after.

Yves Bot said he had detected an organized hand and a strategy behind the riots.

I guess most young poor kids can afford and know how to make explosives and bomb making factories...

he's not said that though has he, he's just said they are representing blacks. i agree with you though that if they are representing them, they're doing it badly.

i reject a government where one mans actions are to act in the interests of one race anyway. what a nonsense.

Please tell us how easy it is to make a bomb making factory. I was never taught and I don't know anyone else that was either and I grew up in a very poor neighborhood.

Given that such handy bomb making materials as acetone and mothballs are freely available in French supermarkets I hope you are not right.

funnily enough the french cops don't agree with you. they laughed off sarko when he proposed the idea of imams kicking this off.

a few kids in an abandoned wharehouse filling a hundred bottles with petrol = a bomb factory?

LOL you're growing on me :D

In France a hell of a lot easier than Britain due to the easy availability of the material for bomb making.

Well maybe black people take a different view. Maybe we will see if Rice runs for President some day.

Your second paragraph is perfect however.

I never knew he proposed Imam's were behind this. I personally don't think Imams are behind this but I think many know that this is way too organized to be just "random upset kids".

Nearly effortless, I have enough material in my garage and home for 75 petrol bombs, and this does not include the petrol in the car which my wife has taken to work.

Ah the delights of school trips to France and the promise of the things it was rumoured you could buy :D
