Walked from Appletreewick to Burnsall (only a couple of miles) and back , along the river mostly. Old barn near Appletreewick, lovely bridge at Burnsall , young bull on the way back, narrow path , if he'd had a mind to he could have flung me down the bank into the river the fence looked pretty flimsy to me , I had to manoeuvre around the lad . Then a little bridge (I love little bridges)

Skipton Castle today , the cannons inside annoyed me I'm not an expert on castles being besieged, but I'd prefer the cannons to be able to fire at the besieging forces . But then , what do I know , the Royalists in the castle held out for several months against the Puritan lads .

I've just chatted to Mrs21 about going there , she's not sure how walkable it is , tbf she would have struggled had she come with me this morning . Maybe next time though, we are definitely coming back this way .

Remembered from a primary school trip there..the yew tree in the middle was raw material for arrows during a siege.

Walked around Leyton Marsh & Walthamstow Marshes this morning , an area I started taking photos of when lockdown landed. It's an area I became very familiar with during those long lockdown walks , which were considerably longer than the hour? of state sanctioned exercise we were "allowed".

I used to go down there to practise my guitar and singing when I lived in Leyton! (My landlord who I lived with didn't like me playing any type of audible music in my room).
