First proper trip to Dartmoor - despite it being visible from my front garden - for a few short walks, sussing out good places to park.

The last one, Hound Tor, looks a good location for a walk to Haytor Rocks and back, and quite a lot easier to park at too.

Back of the old workhouse then hospital on wellingboro road. For me, a piss stop and place to skin up off the main street. Could have been rescued 10 yrs ago i recon but now it just sits there waiting for someone to pay for it to be torn down

I've been consistently walking to the park at lunchtimes to see at least one duck, and recently I thought I might bring some food for them, and they are massively underwhelmed by it. Tangibly underwhelmed.

I mean it's just some oats from a big bag from Sainsburys but I read that ducks were fine with oats. It was on the RSPB site and everything. But if I don't throw something in the water the little feathery cunts just sit out of view and quack at each other.

eta: the coots liked the oats. Maybe I should go watch coots.

Pets At Home sell swan food, the ducks love it. We managed to cause three full on duck fights last weekend when we took a pot of it to the local pond

Couple from today , Mr & Mrs Swan & the Swan kids close to Woodberry Down , (they did not break my arm) and bird house, close to Walthamstow Wetlands

Being hit by a swan's wing won't break your arm, more like being hit by a feather duster. However Adrian Mole's postman broke his arm slipping on swan shit, so caution needs to be applied...

It's the last couple of days before school and (shudder) work...

In the forest at 8am because it's roasting like a big roasting thing.

The apples were nicked from one of the remaining orchards in Wyre, and turned out to be eye-poppingly sour, and yes Dear Reader, the child did go in the water. Arse first, but styled it out, and won her dad's heart by giving it 'meh, skin's waterproof...'.
