Peaceful protester recalled to jail due to lack of suitable tags

This has really infuriated me. A 77 year old woman who was jailed was for a Just Stop Oil protest in 2022, now has to go back to prison because there isn't an elctronic tag that fits her. She can't wear an ankle one due to DVT and her wrists are too small. So she will now spend Christmas in prison through no fault of her own.

It's also so fucking neoliberal; the hollowed out state out-sourcing this penal technology to a corporation who can't even meet basic standards of inclusivity. Just so fucking shoddy and uncaring; not even bothering to specify in the commissioning contract that the technology needs to meet everyone's needs.
