Paralympics - Who's Going?

I'm Pat 10 (Wednesday night). Peacock, Pistorius, Singleton and the other South African whose name I can't remember

We've got tickets to weds night too, I didn't realise there was a load of sprinting in the session when I booked it, I've only just checked what's on and it looks pretty good.

After tonight's game I wish I'd got some basketball too, that was good viewing.

Wednesday is PAT12, and I hope they don't pull a load of races like they did with PAT10

Maybe basketball tickets will come up and you'll get to go

The schedules have changed again.

PAT 10 has had another event removed.

PAT 12 has had another one added

Or, are these on top of the ones that were removed/added yesterday?

Managed to get a ticket to PAT 13 on Wednesday. Looking forward to that and a good mooch round the Olympic Park.

Hi all,

Owing to a minor op, I have two tickets for this morning's athletics session that are going spare - I know it's extremely short notice, but do drop me a msg if you know anyone who could use them.

Going to the athletics this evening. Any one know if thereis somewhere sensible to put bikes?
we're going today! hurrah!

What seats/block are you in joustmaster? I found a video last night from someone sitting in block next to us (154), so it looks like we'll get a view of lots of arses :D

Hope you have a great time gaijin, and don't worry if you forget to ask about the shuttles work

I am going to the athletics tonight!! Only found out last night as a friend had some people drop out. Very excited.

yep.saw him win his gold and break the WR

but the biggest cheers were for the 1500m runner from Djibouti. After 100m he was at least 50m behind all the other runners . he was lapped on his first lap but just keep going.

Oh, was that Assam/Assan or something similar? Finished about 5 minutes later?

I remembered and stopped and asked... it's just like a hop on hop off London bus, there are little stops all over the place and you just get on/off where you like at will. There were tons of them.

Also lots of people had Olympic Park mobility scooters. I don't know how those work though or if you're interested but they were pretty nifty I thought!

oh and we had the MOST amazing day. It was really superb. We watched the 7 aside football and the atmosphere was incredible. My little girl was zoomed in on by the camera as she was going crazy for a good long while and the whole stadium went "aaaah" - I nearly burst with pride. The level of goodwill and just general fun was great. We only got back half an hour ago - stayed much later than we should have.

I wonder, but suppose it's unlikely, if we could still get some tickets for next week?

We've got tickets! My GF managed to get some to the athletics on Tuesday - us and three of the kids. :)

So, um, how does the travelcard thing work? You pick it up there? Not that we exactly need it - might as well walk.

The actual Travelcard you need to pick up, it you can use your P@H ticket in lieu of it.

Minnie, you asked how long it took to get from the Stadium to Stratford International. I just left the Stadium and took me about 20 minutes from leaving my seat to getting onto the platform. But bear in mind this was after most people had already left the Stadium, and at a very brisk walk. Also I was heading to Kent, which was an easy walk into the station, but for those heading to London there was quite a mass of people outside.

Excellent! Thanks for asking gaijin

Mobility Scooter would definitely save my arms. Just worried about him being able to use it but I think he'll cope, will definitely go for it. Did you notice the mobility tent and whether there was plenty of availability at that time of day. I don't reckon we'll have problems on Tuesday morning as our session is at 9.30am, but Wednesday is 7.00pm

Anyway, did you have an excellent time? Have you just got back? How long did it take you? What route did you use?

If you're anywhere near Horseguards, you can pick it up from there. If not, do as Bungle says

I thought you were in a rush to get back, so how come you waited 'til everyone had left? :D

I was thinking with a wheelchair we may be better off waiting 'til everyone's left as well. Don't want to mow anyone down accidentally :D

20 minutes is quite a walk though.
