I have to say I think it peaked early. Much of what followed was still very good, but most of the "holy fuck!" stuff was near the beginning.

I think that is the nature of a lot of opening ceremonies though - I remember Bejing was like "Fuuuuuuck"...then the middle was a bit small child sings, loads of drums, interesting and worthy but a bit dull then "Fuuuuuck" towards the end again

Envious of you having seen it in person like, I do hope you will be on here going "Well, that looks good on the telly but when you were there...." I would!!

Mud used to freak me out, as did Queen as did all those ugly 70s men with hairy faces and long hair
