Now Jurgenna believe us - Liverpool 20/21

Looking forward to this one. Feels pivotal despite being the second game of the season.

My top three are City, Chelsea and Liverpool (not in that order)

Fitness will likely be the deciding factor ^

4th place either ManUre or Arse

Fabinho stepping up (back) for this one. Not ideal but he has played CB successfully before and is a mature, quality player. Not a back up player, a first team player moving position.

Chelsea have a few new (big signing and regular) players out so the LFC CB issue is less of an issue. Werner might be fast but so are the LFC front three.

The good thing is he can slot in anywhere, he can play holding or attacking mid. I'd have him in the middle of three with Hendo to the right and Keita to the left
Over the season LFC will be spoiled for choice in the midfield. If they are going to push in all competitions then rotation will be key.

It will be tough to choose which world class midfielder starts but that is a nice choice to make.

Yeah, this season more than any before rotation will be key, especially with the workrate expected of our midfielders.

Good half but missing the goal. Hopefully the 10 men makes them less of a threat but fear they will resort to parking the bus now.

Didn't see it but the fact Thiago completed more passes in 45 mins than any Chelsea player did in 90 and racked up the most completed passes (75) of any player only playing one half of football since records began in 2003-04 tells me that he had a good debut (despite giving away a pen).

Fewest games required to reach 400 league points as Liverpool manager:

Jurgen Klopp 184
Kenny Dalglish 197
Bob Paisley 206
Rafa Benitez 209
Bill Shankly 229

Andy Robertson:
When our crowd sung that song ["We're gonna win the league"] as emphatically as they did we had to believe it, of course we did. If you said you didn’t believe it, you’d be lying. Actually, there may have been one exception: Jordan Henderson

During this period Hendo was so focused & driven that I don’t think he could have got caught up in the excitement if someone had knocked at his door w/ the trophy and said it was done. To say he was in the zone would be one of the understatements of the season.

At Melwood, his influence was absolute. He literally didn’t have to say anything. He could have remained silent because the example he was setting on the training pitch and in games was so powerful that words were no longer required.

He got us through some of those games with a combination of strength of character and individual talent... front. He just took it to another level, showing just why he is captain of this club by keeping us all together and being our leading force.
