'My parents-in-law have gone back on a promise to give us their house' - heartbreaking story

hang on, does the coincidence that i'm the brother of someone that wrote to a national newspaper making themselves look entitled make me a troll? how very meta....

so i either have to question my own existence, or say "If it weren't for you damn kids...." not how i expected my day to end, i must say :)

Pretty shit as far as trolling goes. If you were doing it proper you'd have arranged the AQA and would currently be impersonating your sister.

isn't trolling meant to be basically slagging someone off for pointless reasons? (bigotry, racism, for the hell of it)? i'm foncused...

Nah. Your basic harmless troll is fishing for reactions.

Good trolls divide forums, stealthily pit poster against poster causing mayhem, and then slink away to watch the destruction from afar.

A good troll is a joy to behold.

Obvious trolls are dull.

Used to have a punter in my old shop back in Manc who could do this IRL. City fan in a largely Utd supporting bookies, he once managed to pop in for two minutes to put his Irish lotto numbers on and, with a few well placed comments, I had five guys in the middle of the shop having a proper row about kickball for about five minutes after he had left.

Beautiful.

I'm always impressed with people who can do this. It's like reading the currents under a river surface and causing turbulence with a drop of a pebble. It's an artform.

tale

Some one will have to reign me in come the day cos I only waited to hear the accents before Listing them

When I started my job 18 years ago there were apprentices working there on about seven grand a year who were buying houses, barely out of their teens. Only when the children of the well-off start getting priced out does it become an issue, and still not a large one because too many have a stake in this pyramid scheme, especially the numerous MPs with 'portfolios'.
