I remember it well, because one of those doctors from Brighton did a couple of shifts at Worthing Hospital, and there was a proper media circus outside from early in the morning, with both BBC & Sky regularly going live to the hospital during the day for updates, there were none, they got bored by early evening and finally fucked off. :D
 
Hard to say as some ~50 years have passed. Might curb what could otherwise have been really serious episodes.

Possibly it is resurgent now as most generations in Central/W Africa no longer have that cross-immunity from vaccination.
 
Seen a few going on about Monkey Pox and Ukraine and all that bio-weapons labs lunacy. TBH I couldn't even be arsed to try and work out what they were saying it's so predictable and bonkers.

I was listening to a video this morning - apparently one minor outbreak in the USA was caught from pet prairie dogs that had been kept alongside African rodents ...

 
After monkeypox we'll probably have a giant meteorite strike.
It just struck me ... humanity is in its own way "dinosaurs" - in spades - in that the giant lizard things managed to stick around sustainably for about 170 million years whereas we are wrecking the planet in only a few tens of thousands ...
Maybe they'll get a second chance .. perhaps the whole of evolution will go around again ...

They reckon the USA already has enough (smallpox) vaccine for the whole population because they don't trust the Russians not to use it as a weapon ...
I hope they find a way to make it less uncomfortable - the Covid jabs were completely painless ...
