Not just 1 hashtag, several. The term has been in use for about a decade. Vegigan / vegegan? So what? I've said above I'm slightly dyslexic. So who's being derogatory now?

It's a very new word and its definition seems to be evolving.

I think JimW's advice was sound though and it should be spelled vegegan.

When you spell it that way, it's already in use on the interwebs. It's being used by people who skip between a vegetarian and a vegan diet, so it's perfectly valid and we're good to go.
