More stupid questions on BBC news, speaking to a local resident
BBC: Have you ever felt anything like that before
Local Resident: Actually yes, I'm quote often in earthquakes of this magnitude and I have baths every day so a little tsunami didn't bother me in the slightest
BBC: Have there been many aftershocks?
Local Resident: Not that I'm aware of, but I don't have access to the internet or news to look
wtf? that person sounds like a real life troll.
Very difficult viewing.
AlJazeera's @wayne_hay reports from Minami Sanriku, where 10,000 people are missing.
Wasn't that reported yesterday or is that somewhere else? Getting confused with all these unfamiliar place names
Sorry, that's me mucking about with the local resident response. That's how I'd like to respond to the reporter asking stupid questions
oh, I see.

Well yes...
Just been reading about this breakwater that was only completed in 2009 at huge cost. Not sure how much more damage the area would have sustained had the breakwater not been there, but it seems like a lot of money to have spent on something that's not really stopped this particular tsunami, although I'm guessing it's worked for smaller tsunamis
