Mass stabbing at Southport Kids’ Club 29/7/24

Apologies for a different story, I really don't know what to say about the perpetrator of the Southport murders anymore :'( I mean what is the answer to prevent it happening again? 😞

Another stabbing, 12 year old boy's life ended in Birmingham, I feel as if a new thread was started everytime another fatal stabbing occurred though - the forum would be overrun with them 😬

All I can think of that and also this case is why? :(

You might not
Twice took a knife into school at the age of 12. His defence were not planning to put up any mental illness defence.

Just a fucking evil bloke

And he looks it too

You might not look your best in a police mugshot, either.

Those fucking idiots on Mumsnet are still insisting Rudakubana was 1) a foreigner and 2) an Islamic extremist despite him looking at all kinds of terrorist material. He looked at IRA stuff as well, does that mean we should burn down Catholic churches?

The whole thing about Gonzalez is real fridge horror. Mental health services in this country are a joke. People bringing up Rudakubana being mentally ill aren't making excuses for his ~mental elf~, they're trying to figure out why he did what he did and how he should have been stopped in time. It was the same with the Ariana Grande gig bomber, he was banned from his mosque and people there tried to warn the police, the police did nothing, and we all know what happened after that.

Your caricaturing of mumsnet is weird. I don't post there but it's a huge forum full of diverse views. Either way, what is the relevance to this issue?

The parents of the murderer in this case came to this country from Rwanda. Something like 800,000 people were murdered in that country in an act of genocide in 1994.
(By the way, I notice that no-one blames Christianity for this crime perpetrated by ostensible Christians).
I wonder if his parents were traumatised by this, and their trauma was transmitted to their son.

Because it shows how easily misinformation can spread. Rudakubana is not Muslim. It's been said over and over again. But people continue to insist that he is. I mean, have you read the past few pages?

Well, yes, because you quoted me. It doesn't matter whether it's Mumsnet, Reddit, Digital Spy or Tattle, the point is that people will continue to believe the narrative that Rudakubana is Muslim and that the murders were religiously motivated, because, IDK, they want justification for the riots?

Yes, I quoted you, but you didn't quote me.

Has this now been established for certain?
[/QUOTE]

Hasn't been established that he isn't a satanist, Chelsea fan or young Conservative either....

If his killings were inspired by, self justified in relation to, any religion, idiology, don't you think that would have come out by now? Either from himself declaring it so, or obvious evidence.

No. That's why people were demanding an inquiry.

The police have said that they withheld aspects of the case on the advice of the CPS.

What were those aspects?

Possession of ricin.

That came out some time ago. As did the terrorist manuals stuff.

The implication is that there is still a lot unknown, including the boy's religious peccadilloes.

(Unless it's been established that this definitely wasn't religiously motivated, as Lotte suggested).
