I'm given to understand that this is a UKIP/whatever-the-fuck-these-creeps-are-called-this-week person, possibly not kept in the loop by the Great Leader...
That feels like the 'quiet part out loud' translation of quite a few MP apologies, funnily enough.
I visit a messageboard/forum that is mostly politics and current affairs. On their Defections thread (no, honestly) the following was written in December 2012, The Daily Telegraph reported that eight Tory MPs were about to jump ship to the then nascent UKIP. No such thing happened.Is that what Tice has said?
Tice claimed they are talking to Labour MPs, about joining Reform.
I call bullshit to both.
This post doesn't read how I thought I'd typed it. Quick note, I had a 90 minute eye appointment from half 8 this morning and I'm still finding things a bit fuzzy!I visit a messageboard/forum that is mostly politics and current affairs. The occasional exception and crank will always make the move. Bullshit often follows.
I do hope that they'll be very happy together - and his constituents fling him out on his ear, either asap via a recall petition, or at the upcoming GE
MPs can be recalled under three circumstances:
- Conviction in the UK of any offence and sentenced or ordered to be imprisoned or detained, after all appeals have been exhausted. Note – a sentence over 12 months in jail automatically disqualifies someone from being an MP;
- Suspension from the House following report and recommended sanction from the Committee on Standards for a specified period (at least 10 sitting days, or at least 14 days if sitting days are not specified);
- Convicted of an offence under section 10 of the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009 (making false or misleading Parliamentary allowances claims). Note – the sentence does not have to be custodial for this condition.
There is also an independent who came 2nd so Tories a distant 4thSo, next election, Ashfield will be Lab or Reflux as winners, Tory distant 3rd?
Yeah, I know ...There will be no recall petition, conditions have not been met.

It’s probably bollocks, but when the Tories lose a huge proportion of their councillors in May, their MPs could make a lot of surprising individual and collective decisions.
The Tories actually have a huge campaign team and loads of cash. Reform might have money but hasn't really shown any great chops at campaigning

Properly busking it now... "When I was on my grandfather's knee, he said to me, 'Dickie m'boy, there's something you need to know about the world...'"
PINKOWhoever would have thought that after police shootings, wrongfully convicted people, murders and rapes carried out by police officers and various other scandals it would be policing a series of marches proportionately and lawfully that would push most of the right wing over the edge.
Convicted of an offence under section 10 of the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009 (making false or misleading Parliamentary allowances claims). Note – the sentence does not have to be custodial for this condition.
That is true but it does fall into the trap of thinking of them as a traditional political party, which they emphatically are not. What they are - and UKIP and the BP were - is a means by which the wider Tory Party can be captured, by threatening the loss of enough of their core vote to make it impossible for them to win elections.
