Junction Traffic Flow *Geek Warning*

You wouldn't need to clear over a thousand cars a minute. A few dozen buses would be much easier.

A few dozen buses won't be sufficient to replace all cars, unless they run door-to-door, rural areas are cleansed of habitation and a massive network of load carrying drones are available for hire.

You are aware this is all about a video game right?

even if this has some use as a simulation it's still not going to show you anything too radical.

well unless they release some very unusual DLC

Planners and architects love some Cities: Skylines to explain traffic flow and design cleanly and simply so don't discount it just because its a game.

I'm not discounting it. I said it has value as a sim. It is just restrained in its abilities. It won't model radical solutions unless radically modded.

If we banned cars we wouldn't need to spend so much on complex infrastructure like that.
And as soon as we can finally sign off that elusive deal with the fairies to take over the emergency services, taxi services and heavy goods deliveries, and build rail lines to replace every single road in existence connecting every town and city in the country, we’ll finally be able to get rid of all the evil motor vehicles that blight our lives so, and there’ll never be any need for any roads again :)
