July 2005 London bomb blasts: UPDATES AND NEWS ONLY - NO DISCUSSION

Just spoke to Agent Sparrow, her, Crispy, Brainaddict and onemonkey are all together and all ok. She heard that treefrog is alright too, in case anyone was worried about them.

UCH are saying that response has been extremely well coordinated, most people treated on site, ambulances only being used for life-threatening cases

Nothing at Stockwell according to the deputy leader of Lambeth...who's sitting next to me as I type!

Does anyone know what is happening at Canary Wharf..??

Is the DLR still operating..??

At the office in Camden, glad I was in very early this morning, been listening to sirens all morning now spookily quiet..

i doubt the dlr will be running, they have stopped all transport

sorry folks, had to disappear into an editorial meeting would you beleive it!

anyway, we're still here at canary wharf, safer inside than out imo tbh. haven't heard much from outside so no idea about the shooting rumours, they're going round here tho. security guards v active inside, and tons of police outside - we're the best guarded office block in london at the moment i reckon.

this is fucking horrifying.

everyone here accounted for apart from my boss  :(

So terrorists can easily sneak in without being detected?

The long-lensed TV cameras, not cctv. I don't think their intent was deterring terrorists when they zoomed in on some poor bloke with half his face ripped off being resuscitated.

I hate this attitude.

Whoever did this, it's THEIR FAULT and their alone.

This idea that somehow Blair is "to blame" for the actions of clearly deranged terrorist murderers is offensive.

The only thing we can do is to find the people who did this, and those who support and help them, and destroy them utterly.

You don't talk to snakes. You kill snakes.

Giles..

sky news are

saying that an statement from al queada europe are "claiming responibllity"
for the bombings because of britans involvement in the war

I feel like crying. When people in my city are attacked like this it feels like my family are being attacked :(

My girlfriend lost her mobile yesterday. She works inside Victoria station. It's highly unlikely that she's hurt but she's almost certainly scared shitless and she's still not managed to phone me. If the station's been evacuated she's probably being herded round by police somewhere. Is there any point trying to find her (I can cycle there) ?
