Italy v Uruguay (Group D) Tuesday 24th June 2014

About the photo shopping, those pictures, didn't they appear pretty much immediately? They've been shown on the Beeb, haven't they (not that that's proof)

The beeb have showed a video, with one frame frozen and magnified which clearly shows marks of some kind. Not as clear as the possible photoshop job, but pretty conclusive.

Bite marks or no, I suppose any official whose opinion counts for any bloody thing at all who wants to prove or disprove whether or not he bit Mr Italian whose name I can't spell will be taking his shirt and swabbing it for Suarez's saliva.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

You mean like when I said that article you posted would be difficult to call not a legal matter? That bit where i'm not avoiding the question? The one where Fez remaroked about bringing the law in and he agreed with me re Ferguson? That bit i'm not answering? Or another one?

No, I don't think 'everything is fair game', never once said it was. Where you'd draw the line would be the start of the minefield. If it was so easy why has it not been done already?

i am no clearer on your position after this statement. should the law ever be brought in then? you say it shouldn't, concede that it should sometimes, and don't know where to draw the line except that the law shouldn't be involved which seems to be to be a position of everything is fair game.

am i being thick here? what am i misunderstanding? what have i missed?

I don't want it brought in for bad tackles, stupid stuff like Suarez. But if deliberate vicious violence is inflicted i'm not sure how it wouldn't be brought in. The point I was making was about bad tackles, players reacting stupidly etc. We had the Duncan Ferguison headbutt, that was a farce.

Not to mention do you think no-one else has ever thought ooooh let's bring the law in here. It is a minefield, it will open up a fucking nightmare legally speaking.

Suarez-reportedly according to the BBC-saying to Uruguayan media that 'These things happen in the box'. 'There was contact shoulder to eye'.

Hmmmm,......

Suarez's comments to Uruguayan press: "These things happen in the box" :D

Apparently they came together, chest to shoulder, and he got an injury to the eye.

The look on Lineker's face as he read them out was priceless.

He's never lost a game he's bitten someone in.

I wonder if they'll schedule the hearing after the final?

Mind you, imagine the boos if he continues playing...

FIFA are aware of the controversy and are awaiting the referees report. They will I assume have access to all the video of the game, I think it's very unlikely he will play again in this world cup.
