Good and long may it continue. Chickens coming home to roost, Trump's people now getting a sour taste of what they've enabled. I couldn't be happier for them. :thumbs:

The sources said Musk’s near-constant presence at Mar-a-Lago in the week since Election Day had begun to wear on people who’ve been in Trump’s inner circle longer than he has and who see him as overstepping his role in the transition. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they’re not authorized to speak publicly.

“He’s behaving as if he’s a co-president and making sure everyone knows it,” one of the people said.

“And he’s sure taking lots of credit for the president’s victory. Bragging about America PAC and X to anyone who will listen. He’s trying to make President Trump feel indebted to him. And the president is indebted to no one,” this person added.

Not even elected yet. Any slight irrritation invoked in trump and he’ll be flicked away like an ant
 
Odd thing with Musk and all the weirdo Trump appointments; none seem to remember or care for the fate of so many of his people last time round. So many did actual prison time, others like Giuliani lost everything, his whole life's work, gone, just like that, cos he did Trump's bidding. And Trump gave zero fucks for any of these people. Will be funny to see a treason charge getting Musk 50 years to life at some point...

I think the people who are still willing to work with or for Trump, even after all the people who've very publicly come a cropper after throwing their lot in with the orange turd, each have a severe case of Main Character Syndrome. "Nothing too bad will happen to me, I'm really special". That or they are ignorant to the point of delusion. I honestly have a hard time understanding people like that, it's as if they live in a different mental world entirely.

His reputation is massively tarnished, but he was always a shyster lawyer, it was almost his selling point.

Yet another of his lawyers was disbarred recently. I think that puts the number of his lawyers that has lost their license to practice at over a dozen. I just don't get why people are so willing to throw their lives away for this waste of space.

Would be funny if Trump has a very public falling out with Musk and gets banned from X before inauguration day.
 
One of the things Musk slashed on acquiring Twitter was the entire accessibility team. Presumably equal access to information for people with disabilities is part of the woke mind virus.

People who work in accessibility (many of whom are disabled themselves) in the states are quite nervous.

As someone who's spent most of his adult life wrangling volunteers I would love to be a fly on that wall while they learn in real time how little leverage you have to be a capricious rude slave driver over unpaid people.

Also hilarious that they've not been given a budget, implying it's a "give him a title and fuck him off over there" job.

And every one of those applications will be, by definition, from the kind of loon who wants to spend 12 hours a day 7 days a week (or 16 hours a day 5 days a week) doing some tedious administration job for no money. The best and the brightest indeed.

I think he knows that, though. It costs him nothing to sound the call. He doesn’t have to do anything with the deluge of self-destructive applicants. Just pretending that’s who he wants is probably enough for him

The judge could go even higher - the maximum penalty is four years for each felony and the judge can order the sentences to be served consecutively up to a maximum of 20 years - it would doubtless be overturned on appeal and the judge would be in for a lot of criticism, but could be worth it to see the look on Trump's face
