Iran

You can get it tbh but you won’t ever see it in public. Cases of strangely branded whiskey are a required petit cadeaux for difficult border guards by overseas truckers attempting to drop off their load in Iran.

There appear to be some Iraqi casualties from the strike at Al-Assad airbase - a huge, sprawling place about the size of Lincolnshire and 100 miles west of Baghdad - but no UK, US, French or German casualties. There were also a number of strikes up around Erbil in Kurdistan, but they appear to mainly destroyed a field.

GPS guided warheads - Iran was, in this stage of its retaliation, very clearly aiming at places were Americans were not...
Most of the galloway end of the 'antiwar'/loon spectrum hadn't heard of their boy until last week but will feel cheated by this namby pamby tokenism by the IRGC bottlers. Their conduct over the last few years suggests they want it all to kick off more than anyone.

They'll recognise the truth of the auld adage 'be careful what you wish for' when the fighting starts

I hope there will be a sufficient investigation of the aircraft crash, though it seems the FAA and Boeing will not be included in the examination of the evidence.

There's tons of stuff worth seeing there. Nothing worth doing 5 years in jail on bullshit charges though.

Has twice as many cultural world heritage sites as the US (22 vs 11). But yeah, not really the time to be visiting.

There's a number of non-US air accident investigation agencies that can do as thorough a job as the FAA/FTSB - UK, France, Germany etc... The stinky fish will be if Iran refuses to allow it to leave the country, they have the lead because it crashed in Iran (that's the agreed rule), but they have to co-operate with interested parties (the owning state of the aircraft, and the states the casualties come from). If Ukraine wants the FDR and CVR sent to France for example - and the relationship between France and Iran isn't exactly warm, but it's not hostile - and Iran refuses, that will be a big read flag covered in flashing lights.

Tbh, pretty much everyone says it looks like a mistaken shoot down by an Iranian missile site - it simply looks like nothing else.

Yeah... I mean a total of 10 fatal incidents for next gen 737s. And this one was only built in 2016 apparently.

America should stop trying to run the world and claiming loyalty like it is their natural right. It won't end well for anyone. They are not interested in anyone but themselves. They've no history. That is, when they think they can tell Iran what to do. A brat.
