Iran

Why would we even vote for people who we think could destroy cities in retaliation for a limited strike after an assassination? We knew the Iranian government would have to do something in response, so what is the plan here?
There is no plan of course. The evil orange clown doesn't plan anything......he just gets an urge to do something and does it with no thought to the consequences. Now he's got a stupid war he campaigned against.

I used to work for a large oil brokers so know how happy the cunts will be..

The best before I left was the Turkish earthquake at 40k dead as well as refineries at Saras down l. I was upset but let's go...prod is down so lets make lots of money.

Happy days..free cocktails at Browns.

The plan is probably to distract attention from Trump’s impeachment and to bolster his support in election year. It’s clearly been in Trump’s mental filing cabinet since he was tweeting in 2012 saying Obama would likely start a conflict with Iran.

Ukrainian Plane crashes in Iran with 180 on board. :(
Not confirmed it is related to present conflict.

Not confirmed, but a heck of a coincidence, no? Can it be attributed to nervous air defence system operators at full alert and pressing the wrong button, or misidentifying the plane and pressing the right button for the wrong reason? Or Iran knowing who was on that plane heading out of the country ahead of possible US counter strikes and taking them out as part of their reprisals? Maybe UIA printed on the side of the plane in big letters (for “Ukraine International Airlines”) turns out to be a bit too close to “USA” for safety, in a country whose language doesn’t use the Latin alphabet. Will be surprising if we ever get the true story.

“Just an accident” is possible of course.

Lovely paranoid loonery

Yes, some people are saying that and in the video fottage on twitter it looks like it's in flames, however:

It's folly to try and draw serious conclusions from those two images. MH17 took the brunt of the missile fragments in the nose and so that picture, of the nose, shows a specific thing. Who knows what we're looking at with the latest photos.

However uncontained engine failures are extremely rare and the very premature Ukrainian statement about it is inevitably junk.

Firstly as far as I know the Ukranian embassy are not aviation experts so how can they possibly know (when the experts surely have no idea right now)? And from all plane crashes for technical reasons isn't engine failure going to be quite far down the list of likelihood? Finally why are they suspending flights if it's engine failure? Very sus.

63 Canadians. Damn, seems an unusually high proportion given the region? Wonder if such a large group was anything to do with the tension in the region. Or just bad coincidence?

I fly a fair bit with UIA - always reliable and modern planes for international legs . The Tehran route is a bus service for them - straightforward and daily. I have no idea about specifics and no idea about engineering but this surely seems to be a massively catastrophic event- their crews fly in all weathers right across the region- never had any reason to doubt their capability even when flying to shitholes in the middle of winter

Can't seem to find anything about number of deaths or casualties from these misile attacks

There appear to be some Iraqi casualties from the strike at Al-Assad airbase - a huge, sprawling place about the size of Lincolnshire and 100 miles west of Baghdad - but no UK, US, French or German casualties. There were also a number of strikes up around Erbil in Kurdistan, but they appear to mainly destroyed a field.

GPS guided warheads - Iran was, in this stage of its retaliation, very clearly aiming at places were Americans were not...
